Flip Flops for Father's Day Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello again my crafty friends, and happy Monday!

Today I have a Father's Day card to share that is perfect for the summer-lovin' beach dad. None of the men in my family are that 😂 lol but the card just screams relaxation and it is what every dad needs especially on Father's Day. 

CARD RECIPE

• Start by die cutting the front panel using the Secret Garden A2 Cover Plate.
• I then added some ink blending to the outer edges of the frame to draw the eye inward.
• Glue frame onto the beach scene from the Beach Vibes Paper Pad.
• Cut out the Lovely Layers Monstera Leaf top layer, and ink blend edges.
• Die-cut the flip flops using dies from Flip Flop Builder Dies and pattern paper from the Beach Vibes Paper Pad.
• Stamp out the Father's Day sentiment from Kiss the Cook onto vellum paper using Intense Black Ink. Die-cut the sentiment using the coordinating die.
• Finish the front using Aurora Borealis Gem Stickers 

• On the inside, I actually messed up my sentiment as my paper slightly moved while I was stamping the second time 😱 To save the inside of the card I could have either glued down another panel on the inside or done what I did which was stamp the sentiment on another piece of paper and die cut it using the coordinating die and just gluing it over top. Shhhh, it's our secret! The sentiment I used comes from the Flippin Fabulous stamp and die set.
• I also stamped out some of the shells from the same set on the bottom corner of the panel using Latte ink.

Graduation Shaker Card | Studio Katia

Hello friends!

Graduation season is upon us and I am so very thankful that my son gets to have a normal High School Graduation this year. After the last two years of a very restricted High School experience, he finally gets to enjoy a little normalcy at the end. Today I am sharing the Graduation shaker card I made for him, luckily he pays no attention to my social media, so this will be a surprise for when he graduates at the end of the month. Blue and yellow are his school colors, so I thought this would be perfect for him. 

CARD RECIPE

• Stamp the Happy Graduation cap onto Bristol Paper using Fadeout Ink for a no-line watercolor look.  Here I used Zig Clean Color Markers.
• Once colored and dry, die cut the Graduation cap using the Happy Graduation Dies.
• For the background, use the Chucky Sprinkles Stencil. I blended out blue ink and then used a gold paste.
• For the front of the shaker, use the largest of Nested Ovals to cut the window. 
• I used Blue ink to blend out the edges of the card panel.
• Line the back of the oval window using Acetate.
• Use the new Foam Strips 1/8th to create the space for the shaker pieces to move.
• Fill the shaker area. I used Radiant Pineapple Fusion and blue stars (sorry no longer sold).
• Remove the protective tape and seal with the sprinkled background.

• Glue shaker to an A2 size card base.
• Stamp out the sentiment from the Happy Graduation onto a banner from the Simple Trimmings Dies. I used the Misti to make the sentiment curve like the banner. 
• Die-cut a shadow layer using gold foil paper and glue the banner to the card front. 
• Pop the Graduation cap onto the front of the shaker window using foam tape.
• Finish the front by adding some Blue satin pearls, these I picked out from the Satin Pearls Mix.
• It's hard to see from the photos, but I added a little extra sparkle to the bottom of the flowers using some Sparkle Glitter.
