Jawesome DIY Aquarium Card Ft. Lawn Fawn's Duh-Nuh Stamp Set

Today I have a really fun DIY kinda card to share with you all. I wanted to create an aquarium for my little under water scene featuring Lawn Fawn's Duh-Nuh Stamp Set. This was not the first time I had made and paper aquarium. Check out one of my favorite 3D paper projects and where I got some inspiration for this card → HERE.

I used distress oxide inks to blend out and create the background water. The images were colored using Zig Clean Color Brushes, once they were colored I then used the SnC2 to cut them out. For a complete supply list check out the links below this blog post.

I used the Year Seven Stamp set to customize my sentiment on the back.

As you can see this card will fold flat but not easily. The acetate I used was very thick so it tends to pop back into place. To give it to the recipient you could either use some twine to squeeze the card together, or simply just use a larger envelope or box and just let the card pop open. I wouldn't recommend you put a card like this through the mail as it probably will get damaged.  Using a thinner acetate may give you different results.

Happy 3rd Birthday to my Niece from Kobi the Birthday Bear

Hello my friends!

August is a crazy Birthday month for me, so this Kobi the Birthday Bear Stamp Set from Studio Katia will be getting a lot of use! This card actually took no time to put together once I figured out what I wanted to do.

How cute is this little guy? Just look at that sweet smile 😊 

 The first thing I did was stamp out the background presents as I wanted them to be behind the bear. On another bristol piece of paper, I stamped out the rest of the images I wanted to use (which was pretty much all of them 😉). Next, I colored them all in with my Zig Clean Color Brushes and then cut them out using my SnC2.

To create the front panel, I cut out the background presents and the card panel using the Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frame Dies. Now that everything was cut out I played with the placement of the images, once I was happy with the layout I used foam tape on some pieces to adhere them down and to add some dimension. Finally, I added some glossy accents to the balloons and to a few other areas on the card.
