You're a Star Birthday Spinner/Shaker Interactive Moon Card

Ever have an idea that you want to try and then when you do it works out even better than you hoped for?! 

I always love looking up at the moon when it's out. Some nights it is so large you can see detail even with the naked eye. It was on one of those nights that I thought it would be cool to make a moon card that would spin just like the moon does around the earth. A few weeks ago I watched a video Jennifer McGuire shared on how she adds movement to her stamped images. That's when I got the idea to combine my moon card idea with how she added her movement, which brings us to todays You're a Star Birthday Spinner/Shaker Interactive Moon Card! Yup it's a mouth full 😝

Not only is this card a spinner, it also moves up and down, side to side and it's a shaker too!

You'll just have to watch process video below to see what I mean. It's too hard to see any of that with pictures 😉

Here is a side view and close up. It's difficult to see them, but I have also added texture to the moon by adding some Nuvo Grey Mist Jewel Drops.

This is one of my favorite stamps, the big Scripty Birthday Greeting from Simon Says Stamp.  I had to use that on the inside of this card, plus I also used the cut out star from the front of the card to finish off the inside.

Back to School BLAH Card ft. Honey Bee Blah Bunny Stamp Set

Hi Friends 😊

Today was the first day back to school for my kiddos! YAY for me, finally some peaceful hours to myself again!!! 

So for today's post I wanted to share a card that I made for my daughter who struggles from anxiety. She is in grade 6 this year and has been dealing with it since grade 1. Back to school time seems to be the worst for her as there are a lot of unknowns. She had a really difficult time with it last school year, so I hope this year will be better for her. Thankfully she was all smiles this morning, so I hope it was a good day!

I thought this Blah Bunny from Hunny Bee Stamps was the perfect stamp for this first day back to school card. I just really want her to know I am here for her and that everything will be Okay! I know my daughter can relate to this little guy's feelings and realize that many people feel the same way. I think this would also make a great card for the teachers... hmmm, maybe I will need to make a few more 😉
