Surprise Slider Birthday Celebration Card for Honey Bee Stamps 3rd Anniversary

And Happy Birthday to Honey Bee Stamps 🎂🎈

This week is Honey Bee Stamps 3rd Birthday Anniversary Celebration, and to commemorate the occasion I thought it would be fun to create a surprise slider birthday card.

See the "PULL"↓  ... yup, go ahead and do it!

When you "PULL" the balloon cluster up you will find a Happy Birthday Hooray! from the Honey Bee Forest friends. Who btw, have been quietly hiding in the cardboard box.
So fun, I just love interactive cards!

I really had fun coming up with this design and learned a lot from the mistakes I made during this process. I'm not going to go into great detail on the how to's here because there is a video to explain, and the write up would be fairly lengthy. I do share my mistakes so you can learn from them, and tell you what I would do differently to correct them incase anyone would like to create something similar. To color my background and balloons I used distress oxide inks that resulted in this pale rainbow palette.

I added glossy accents to the Hooray sentiment for added dimension and love how it made it pop!
Isn't this balloon cluster so dreamy!?!😍

To the inside of the card I used the same 3 oxide colors that I had used on the front panel to stamp out the happy birthday sentiment. I added the fossilized amber ink last to the other two colors to end up with a blended stamped look just to bring all the colors together.

Baby Crib Box Card for Olive

Hello friends!

Today I have this adorable Baby Crib Box Card to share with you that I made for some friends of ours to celebrate little Olive's arrival. This card comes from SVGCuts Tiny Miracle SVG Kit. Felt like forever since I last used my Silhouette Cameo to create something and I think I was really missing it!

I can't believe I hadn't used this file sooner. It makes the best baby card!

Like I mentioned earlier this file comes from the Tiny Miracle SVG Kit, I did however change it up a little by adding the baby's name to the front rather than using the baby blocks that the file comes with. To personalize the card, I used some metal letter dies from MFT and did some partial die-cutting. I also used the Darling Baby Stamp and Die set from Simon Says Stamp to finish the back panel of the card. I guess I did sacrifice the writing space on the back to use the cute die, but I did just attach a little love note to the card 😉

As you can see the card folds flat for mailing.
