And Happy Birthday to Honey Bee Stamps 🎂🎈
This week is Honey Bee Stamps 3rd Birthday Anniversary Celebration, and to commemorate the occasion I thought it would be fun to create a surprise slider birthday card.
See the "PULL"↓ ... yup, go ahead and do it!
When you "PULL" the balloon cluster up you will find a Happy Birthday Hooray! from the Honey Bee Forest friends. Who btw, have been quietly hiding in the cardboard box.
So fun, I just love interactive cards!
I really had fun coming up with this design and learned a lot from the mistakes I made during this process. I'm not going to go into great detail on the how to's here because there is a video to explain, and the write up would be fairly lengthy. I do share my mistakes so you can learn from them, and tell you what I would do differently to correct them incase anyone would like to create something similar. To color my background and balloons I used distress oxide inks that resulted in this pale rainbow palette.
I added glossy accents to the Hooray sentiment for added dimension and love how it made it pop!
Isn't this balloon cluster so dreamy!?!😍
To the inside of the card I used the same 3 oxide colors that I had used on the front panel to stamp out the happy birthday sentiment. I added the fossilized amber ink last to the other two colors to end up with a blended stamped look just to bring all the colors together.
