Snow Buddy Northern Lights Sparkle Card | Ink On 3

There is Snow Buddy Like You... So cute, I love that sentiment! 

Today I had fun playing around with distress oxide inks to create this northern light's sky for this cute little bear from Ink On 3's Snow Buddies Stamp set. I also finally got the New Liquid Pixie Dust in the snail mail (doesn't help the at Canada post is on strike👎) and was so excited to play with that too!

It is so difficult to show you all as today is so cloudy and it was so hard to capture all the shine in pictures, especially on the white. The bottom of the card is completely covered in liquid pixie dust, I just wish you could see it in person 😍

To make this card was simple, but it did take a few steps. I first stamped out the stars using Juicy Ink and then heat embossed it using the Crystal Clear embossing powder. I then stamped out the bear using Blackout Ink and then masked him off to work on the background also masking the snow area. Next, I used various sizes of the blending brushes to add the colors to the sky (see links below for the colors used) I then spritzed the background with water to lift off some of the color and removed the masks. Next, I lightly rubbed the color off the stars using a paper towel to reveal the white of the paper behind the clear embossing.

I then colored my little bear in using Zig Markers and applied a coat of liquid pixie dust to the scarf and hat. I then took a larger paintbrush and painted the whole bottom of the card with the pixie dust to create a glittery snow effect. Once that area was dry I stamped out the sentiment under the bear and finished the card by adding all the embellishing touches. The glossy accents to the eyes and the nose, the white gel highlights and falling snow and finally the strip of Stickles glitter glue along the edge of the snow.

There's Snow-Buddy Quite Like You Birthday Card ft Ink On 3's Snow Buddies

Hello my friends!

Back again with you today with one more card from Ink On 3's newest Stamp Set Snow Buddies. This time featuring the adorable penguins. 🐧🐧🐧

I had so much fun creating this card, even though it looks like it was a ton of work it actually wasn't that difficult 😉

Once I had cut out masks the rest was simple.
I cut 2 masks for each penguin, 2 large ones and 2 small ones. Then once those were cut out I started stamping and masking all around the pink penguin. Once the cluster of penguins was stamped I did some simple coloring with Zig brushes and fussy cut the entire grouped image out. Next, I glued them down to a night sky background I had created using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, to which I had already added the sentiment to the bottom corner. I then glued on the mitts and the hat to the pink penguin and added some liquid applique to the pompom. I also added some glossy accents to each of the little penguins eyes and beaks for some added dimension.

I finished the inside of the card with this cute birthday banner and added my sentiment. If you are curious about any supplies I used check out all the links below following the post.
