Day 5 Sneak Peek Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release

CARD DETAILS

All my cards today feature the FLOWER PETAL AND CENTERS COVERPLATES. To make 3 cards I only used each cover plate once!

For the first two cards, I glued the die cuts to a background that  I had added a rainbow blend two. I then just trimmed the panel in half to create pieces for two card fronts.

To the flower centers, I glued on RAINBOW RHINESTONES. I then stamped out the Hello from the new FRIEND stamp set. And added the stacked FRIEND DIE from the coordinating die set.

The same process and products were used on this nest card, only this time done in a landscape version.

Oops, just noticed a little die-cut piece that snuck into the picture. Can you spot it?!

This last one, I used both the FLOWER PETAL AND CENTERS COVERPLATES and stacked them together. I used the dotted areas as a guide to added different colors to the flowers.

I then added the same RAINBOW RHINESTONES to the centers and then added some green petals throughout.

To the center of the panel, I added the popped up sentiment from the FRIEND stamp set.

Love how bright these cards turned out and how they all came together fairly quickly.

Day 4 Sneak Peek Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release

CARD DETAILS

My slimline card today features the cutest farmyard animals called WAY TO GOAT. This set also comes with some punny sentiments.

The images were colored in with Copic markers and then die cut with their coordinating WAY TO GOAT Dies. I also added a windmill tower using dies from the BARN SCENE BUILDER set.

To create the scene I just did some ink blending to the grass area and the sky and to divide the space and give it a farmyard look I added a fence in the background.

I didn't realize this at the time but it looks like my animals are following social distance guidelines. They are staying together with their mates and keeping 6 feet from each other😉

Day 3 Sneak Peek Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release

Hello, my sweet friends!

I am buzzing by today to say welcome to Day 3 of the of Sneak Peeks for Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release. All products will go live at Midnight EST 4/17, so the links below will not be active until then.

CARD DETAILS

My card today features a few more goodies from the release. To begin, I stamped out the cutest bee from the Spring FREE Bee set (which you can get Free with a purchase of $75 or more) and colored it in using Copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut it out (which you can also get if your purchase is $100 or more).

I then cut out and colored the strips for my rainbow using Copic markers, I won't say too much about the rainbow because it's a sneak peek for another day. Shhh 🙊

Next, I glued the pieced rainbow to the background where I had stenciled in some clouds using the OUTDOOR SCENE BUILDER STENCILS.

I then finished the front of the card off by adding the BUZZ Die that I stacked and glued 3 times and then added the "ing by to say" from the BUZZ stamp set that I had heat embossed in white on black paper.

To the inside of the card, I stamped out sentiments from the Spring FREE Bee stamp set.

Day 2 Sneak Peek Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release

Hello, again my friends! Welcome to Day 2 of Sneak Peeks for Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release. Today's card features the Far Out Friends Stamp and Dies and the Stellar Sentiments Stamp set.  All products will go live at Midnight EST 4/17, so the links below will not be active until then.

CARD DETAILS

To begin I stamped out the cute little astronaut and the moon from the Far Out Friends Stamp set and colored them in using Copic markers. To the astronaut's helmet, I added a layer of glossy accents and set it aside to dry.

The background was created using alcohol inks on Yupo paper that I then sprayed with white pigment ink to create the galaxy like background.

To create movent and add an interactive element to my card I die cut a circle in the center of the background. To the astronaut, I glued a piece of string to the top of the helmet, this will limit its movement once it is all put together. I also glued a button on his back, smaller than the opening I had created on the background. To keep the astronaut from falling out the front, I die cut a larger circle and glued it the button.

To ensure the astronaut moved freely, I cut 3 cardstock panels, slightly smaller than the card front and then die cut a large circle opening and glue the 3 panels onto the back of the galaxy panel. The space in the center allows for the disk I created to have space to move freely allowing the astronaut to spin. I also tucked the string from the astronaut's helmet between the card front and the card base before gluing it together.

Now, that I explained how I created the spinner mechanism, I will now show you another card using the same process with this cute girl astronaut.

The galaxy was done the same way, only this time I did not cover the entire panel.

The spinner mechanism is this time under the moon she is standing on. The length of the string on the helmet is what determines how much rotation and movement she gets.

For the moon sentiment, I did use the coordinating STELLAR SENTIMENT DIES.

Today's card features a few items from the new release.  The background was made using the Candles Coverplate Die.

The number 16 comes from the new Balloon Border Dies that I colored in using Copic markers, to give them somewhat of a foil appearance.

The sentiment comes from the new PARTY stamp set.

Shirt Gift Pocket Cards | Day 3 Sneak Peek | Honey Bee Stamps BEE Mine Release

Happy Weekend Friends!

Back again today for Day 3 Sneaks of new products coming January 6th, at 12:01 am EST from Honey Bee Stamps for the BEE Mine Release.

CARD DETAILS

These cards were actually quite simple to make as the base of the card was all done and pieced together with just paper slicing. I used patterned paper from the previous releases I hadn't received the new paper pads when I had made these. I made them for everyday birthday cards, rather than making them Valentine themed.   

For the pocket, I used one of the new Stacking Pockets Dies. I chose these to fit money, but they also work to slide in a gift card.

I also used the Pocket Full of Love Stamps and Dies to stamp out sentiments on the pockets and to create the buttons on the shirts.

The previous cards were masculine, so I wanted to make a girly one too. I added the button hearts on this one to make it more feminine and show you that it could also easily be made for Valentine's day.

Interlocking Heart Gatefold Card | Day 2 Sneak Peek | Honey Bee Stamps BEE Mine Release

Hello friends and I am back again to share another quick peek at some new products coming January 6th, at 12:01 am EST from Honey Bee Stamps for the BEE Mine Release.

  CARD DETAILS

For today's card, I made an Interlocking Heart Gatefold Card featuring all brand new products. The card base I used for the gatefold comes from the Flower Petal Card Die Set.

The interlocking hearts come from the new Pierced XOXO Hearts Dies. 

The stamped hugs and Kisses in the center come from the new Kisses Buzz Word Stamps and Dies. And the pink hearts are negative pieces from the new Fluttering Hearts Coverplate Die.

On the inside, I just added the XOXO from the new Pierced XOXO Hearts Dies.

Studio Katia Winter 2019 Release - Sneak Peek Day 2

Hello friends!

Today is Day 2 of the Studio Katia Winter 2019 Release Sneak Peeks, and I am sharing a card featuring the cutest furry critters that will be coming soon to Studio Katia called the HAPPY PAWLIDAY Stamp and Die Set. Please note that links to new products listed may not work until the release goes LIVE in the shop next week 😉

CARD DETAILS

To begin I stamped out the image from the HAPPY PAWLIDAY Stamp set and then colored in only the certain areas of the critters to keep the coloring simple using Copic Markers and then die cut it using the coordinating Die.

I then added the furry bunch to a piece of cardstock that I had blended shades of dark blue distress oxide inks too and then added an embossed layer of gold embossing powder using the new SNOW-FETTI stencil. (Please note, I was a bit heavy-handed on pushing the JUICY watermark ink into the stencil which ended up making some of the stars look like blobs. I was OK with that, after all, it is a handmade card, imperfection and all.)

Next, I die-cut white cardstock to create snowy hills using the TRIMMINGS BORDERS CREATIVE DIES. Stamped the sentiment onto the top hill and then added some glue to the top of the die-cut edges and sprinkled the SPARKLE GLITTER over the wet areas to add some sparkle and shine.

To embellish, I added some GOLD SPARKLE CRYSTALS and finished off the image by adding some glossy accents to areas and adding liquid applique to puff up some of the hat furs. I hope you enjoyed today's Furry Friends Pawliday Sneak Peak card.

Studio Katia Winter 2019 Release - Sneak Peek Day 1

Welcome to Studio Katia Winter 2019 Release - Sneak Peek Day 1. Today I am featuring a few new stamps and dies coming soon to the Studio Katia Shop. Please note that links to new products listed may not work until the release goes LIVE in the shop next week 😉

CARD DETAILS

To begin I stamped out one of the images from the LOTS OF GIFTS TRIMMINGS stamp set and then heat embossed the lines in gold. I then used a Zig marker to add some coloring to the image.

I then die cut the image out using the TRIMMINGS BORDERS CREATIVE DIES as well as the DARLING RIBBON AND FRAMES DIES.

Next, I popped the image along the bottom of the card from that I had die cut using the new MINI POLKA DOTS COVER die that I had glued onto a piece of blue cardstock.

I then die cut a bunch of the "Falala's" from the HAPPY PAWLIDAYS die set that I trimmed and glued together to add as the sentiment on this festive card.

To embellish the card I, added some IRIDESCENT ICE FLAKES. I hope you enjoyed today's sneak peek card. Come back tomorrow for another peek.

Kobi Turns Three | Studio Katia Release Sneak Peek | Day 1

Hello Friends!

This week we are celebrating Studio Katia's 3rd Birthday! So, of course, there will be lots of great inspiration, giveaways and a new Release available this Friday! Today is Day 1 of our Sneak Peeks.

CARD DETAILS

For my card today I have used a few of the new sets. The fun Balloon cluster comes from the be BIRTHDAY BALLON TRIMMINGS set. I never have enough birthday cards so these balloons will come in handy!

I also used another new set KOBI MAKES A WISH and it's coordinating dies, which will actually be revealed on the Studio Katia Blog tomorrow, Shhhhh... it's our secret! So you're actually getting two sneaks here with my birthday card!

To color in these images, I used Zig Clean color brushes and added some glitter and glossy accents for shine. I also used some distress oxide inks to create the background for the images and also finished the card by embellishing it with some new SILVER FEVER FUSION sequins. LOVE how these shine in person!!!
