Triple-Layer Cake Box Cards | SVGCuts

Hello friends! How are you? 

Seems like it's been a little while since my last post. Life just seems to get busier and busier every day!

I hadn't realized how long it had been since I had used my Silhouette to create some 3D papercrafts (my first love). So today I want to share with you a few box cards from SVGCuts Garden Party Box Cards SVG Kit that made for some very special ladies in my life.

I decided to make the same triple-layer cake box card for both of them since they were for birthdays. Plus, it was just quicker to do them both at the same time when most of the same supplies were being used. I did alter the file by increasing the size by approximately 25%.

My oldest friend on this planet, well more like a sister, turned the big 40 this past Tuesday 💗

I thought this triple-layer cake card was perfect for the occasion!

As you can see I added the numbers to the top of the cake. To make them, I used the SSS Big Number dies set and just cut the numbers out of metallic paper using my Big Shot. The rest of the card was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo. To finish the back of the card I used a stamp from MFT's Magical Unicorn stamp set. 

These cards always amaze me. 

I just love how they fold flat and fit nicely in an envelope!

Here are both the cards I made side by side. 

The card with 80 on top,  I made for my Grandmother who is celebrating her 80th birthday in a few weeks. Unfortunately, I won't be with her that day because she lives in Portugal, but my mother will be hand delivering it to her for me!

Since I went with silver for the previous card, I chose to do this one in gold. 

To the centers of the flowers, I added some tiny drops using the Dandelion Nuvo Crystal drops. 

To add some interest to the flower petals, I inked up all their edges with a coordinating distress ink pad. Check the links below for more details. 

Of course, I didn't have any Portuguese stamps to stamp on the back of the card so thankfully I had the Perfectly Penned stamp set from Concord and 9th to save the day!

Translated it means "80 Congratulations Grandma"

Dr. Who's TARDIS Telephone Box | 3D Paper Treat Box | SVGCuts

Any Dr.Who fans out there?!? 

Well if you are, I think you love this project!

Hopefully, my husband isn't paying much attention to my blog posts these days. 

Or he may just see the surprise I made him for Father's Day. 

Recognize it?

For those of you that don't, it is the TARDIS time machine and spacecraft from Dr. Who! 

Don't ask me anything else about the show though, I have no clue... in fact when I was growing up my brother would watch it and I would run away because it creeped me out. Well as is turns out my husband was also a big fan of the show, haha! 

Cool right?! 

Even for non-fans, I love how it turned out!

This file is actually the London Telephone Box from a recent SVGCuts kit, Travel the World.
But with a few simple alterations, I was able to change it to the TARDIS Telephone Box.

Here is a screenshot of my alterations and panels with measurements for those interested. I did shrink the file slightly to use 8.5 x 11-inch paper as well.

I stamped the back panel with a stamp from Happy Celebrations - Craftin Desert Divas and added some fun enamel dots.

Here is a closer look.
For the telephone signs, I did a print and cut on the Silhouette Cameo.

The box is large enough that I will be putting a small gift inside for a bonus surprise.

Take a look at it all lit up.
I just added a string of battery-operated led lights to the bottom. You can also secure them to the top as Mary did with the Telephone Box.

Valentine's Day Post Office Drop Box | 3D Paper Mail Box/Treat Box | SVGCuts

Hey everyone!

Back again with another mailbox creation for the teacher! This time this super cute Valentine's Day Post Office Drop Box comes from SVG Cuts Valentine Mailboxes SVG Kit and the little letters are files from Hearts Aflame SVG Kit. 

This project was super easy to put together and fairly quick. I think I took longer choosing the papers than assembling it! It's a good last-minute treat box if you don't have lots of time to waste ;)

I was so excited to use my Simon Says Teacher dies, that came in a few days ago.
I'm always making teachers things and this little die will come in so handy!

The paper I used comes from My Mind's Eye - Filled with Love paper Pad

To finish the back I added a couple of die-cut hearts and stamped one of them with a sentiment from the Love Stamp and Cut Set from Hero Arts.

Valentine's Day Mail House | 3D Paper Valentines House/Gift Box | SVGCuts

Are you ready for Valentine's Day?! 

I most definitely am NOT :(  Still working on some last-minute projects!

Every year I like to make something special for the teachers. This year one of them will be receiving this super cute Valentine's Day Mail House! 

How CUTE is that!?! LOVE it!

The awesome files I used to make this beauty comes from SVGCuts Hugs and Kisses SVG Kit and the Hearts Aflame SVG Kit.

The stamp I used on the front door comes from Fleurette Bloom's Happy Days Stamp Set.
Paper from Pink Paislee - Pen Pals

As you can see I altered the house a little by adding a slit to the roof of the house from  Hugs and Kisses SVG Kit. To create this you must add the same slit line to the roof panel and each roof liner (top and inside piece). You will have to ungroup some files to be able to do this and copy the opening in the exact same spot on each piece. Regroup everything once you are done.  Really easy, just make sure the opening is wide enough for the letters!

There is still plenty of time to create one of these for yourself or as a gift for someone!
