Hello friends!

I have another post to share with you today, this time featuring some new goodies from Picket Fence Studios and I think this one is pretty sweet 😉 yes, pun intended. The simple technique I am sharing is a great way to give a gift card to someone and this fun Bake a Cookie A2 Layering Stencil Set makes the perfect backdrop to gift a sweet treat.

CARD RECIPE

To start, I used the bottom cookie layer stencil from the Bake a Cookie A2 Layering Stencil Set and applied a thin layer of Paper Glitz - Buttercream. While that layer was drying I stamped out the sentiment from the Lick the Bowl stamp set using white pigment ink that I then heat set with white embossing powder. I then trimmed out the sentiment strip with a paper trimmer.

Now back to the background, add the top layer of the cookies using the other stencil from the Bake a Cookie A2 Layering Stencil Set this time using Paper Glaze Luxe - Chocolate Frosting. Once that is dry it is time to assemble the card.

Add foam dots behind the sentiment strip, the width of the foam placement should match the width of the gift card, snug enough to secure the card in place, but not too tight that it is hard to remove it. Once that is figured out center it onto the card front and stick the strip in place. Snip off any excess paper that hangs off the edge of the card. I then added some gems to the strip for extra sparkle. Here is another look at the card without the gift card in place.

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the Lick the Bowl using a Black Hybrid Ink Pad.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this simple gift card technique, and for those of you who want to see my debut Reel for Picket Fence Studios, make sure you are following along on Instagram.

Thank you for stopping by and until next time... Happy Crafting!
