Making Multiples - 1 Design 5 Holiday Cards | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends and Happy Monday!

This week the Honey Bee Stamps Design Team is showcasing Clean & Simple Christmas Cards and simple ways to mass-produce them for the Holidays. CAS is not my forte, but I think these came out beautifully.

CARD DETAILS

To start, I trimmed card fronts using patterned paper to 4.25 x 5.5 inches, from the LOG CABIN Paper Pad. I then glued them onto the front of the A2 sized card bases.

Now, let me show you my process in pictures so you can see how easily these cards were made. For the sake of variety, I changed the sentiments, but you could totally keep the same sentiment to simplify things even further and use the same paper too. Refer to the number in the picture below for directions.

1. Load the card into the stamping tool and stamp out the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper.
2. Line up the coordinating die with the stamped sentiment.
3. Die-cut the sentiment from the top panel of the card front and place it back into the stamping tool.
4. Stamp the sentiment out again. This time it will stamp directly onto the inside of the card. 

SO simple and easy right!?! You can leave them as is now, or take these a step further like I did.

To this card, I added some crystal drops, twine, and a button. This is a great way to use up all those embellishments I know you all have been hoarding in your craft room like me 😝

This next card, I added some more crystal drops, twine, and another button. When was the last time you added a button to your card?!

To this pink beauty, I added some of the CRYSTAL PRISM GEM STICKERS that I glued on top of a few BLIZZARD CONFETTI and the snowflakes from LOG CABIN Sequins. I also used washi tape, ribbon and again a button!

To this winter snowflake beauty, I added a few CRYSTAL PRISM GEM STICKERS, twine and you guessed it, another button!

This last card, I even did a little gold embossing. The only reason I did that was because the coordinating die did not cut out the leaves, and black ink on black paper is barely visible. Since the ink I used was slow drying I added a little embossing powder to the wet ink to heat set it and make it pop off the black paper. To the bottom of the card, I just added some more washi tape and gold gems to the center of the snowflakes.

If you are looking for easy ways to mass-produce your holiday cards I hope you try out this technique. Hopefully, I have inspired you to use up your patterned papers and embellishments that I know you all have been holding on to!

25 Days of Christmas Tags | Studio Katia

Today I am joining the Studio Katia team to celebrate Day 11 of Tracey Mcneely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. ← Click on the link if you want to join in on creating your own tags and enter the giveaways happening from so many amazing sponsors that are participating.

For my tags, I decided to play with some of the newest products from Studio Katia.

CARD DETAILS

To begin I die cut the SLIDER TAG Dies from Neenah cardstock, two of each piece to create 2 tags.

To the front side of the back panel, I stamped the snowmen images from the HAPPY SNOWMEN stamps set and colored them in with Copic markers.

I then stamped the SNOWFLAKES on the front and back panel using Oxide inks.

To the slider portion of the tag, I stamped out the to: from: and the Merry Christmas from the GIFT TAG GREETINGS: WINTER. I also stamped the "a gift from you" on the front of the panel. Once all the ink was dry I then folded the slider piece on the top of the tag and then assemble and glued the tags together.

To embellish the front a little more I glued on a few of the ICY SPARKLE CRYSTALS.

CARD DETAILS

For both my cards today I started off by creating the backgrounds using the Stencils. For this first girly one, I began by blending Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink (OI) using Studio Katia INK BLENDER BRUSHES  and then adding a deeper red to the single hearts on the panel using Barn Door OI.

Next, I die cut the panel using both the DARLING RIBBON AND FRAMES DIES to cut out the frame and then the SHAKER HEART die to cut out the window for the shaker. I then glued a piece of ACETATE to the back of the panel.

On a scrap piece of red cardstock, I stamped the Best Friends sentiment. I then added some MAJESTIC FUSION sequins to the center of the stamped greeting area and then closed up the shaker and attached it to an A2 card base. I finished the front by adding the cutest image from LOVE FOR PAWS stamp that I had die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were colored using Copic markers.

This next card, my boy version, was done using the exact same process as the previous card only this time created a horizontal card, I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Faded Jeans Distress OI and used the MINI PAWS STENCIL.

Again this cute little guy was stamped out from the LOVE FOR PAWS stamp and then die cut with the coordinating dies and colored using Copic Markers. The sentiments inside the shaker heart also come from the same set.

This time I filled the shaker area using, a mix of SPARKLING SEA CONFETTI MIX, LIGHT BLUE STARS, CRYSTAL STARS.
