Mom's 60th Birthday Card - SSS Sketch Ranunculus + Big Scripty Greetings

Happy Birthday to my Momma! This week she turned 60!!! 

I LOVE you MOM!

So today I am sharing the card I made for her with you.

Isn't she purdy?

This was also my first time trying out the Michael's Recollections Color Splash Crayons, which funny enough I think may now be discontinued. I wanted to add them to my product list below but couldn't find any links for them so I linked up a similar product. (Update: found a link so just added it). Anyways I was impressed with how easy they were to watercolor with and I really liked the shimmer they left behind.

 I love the both these stamp sets from Simon Says Stamps, I will definitely be using more in the future.

Fintastic Birthday Shaker Card

Hello!

I'm back again today with another fun "Fintastic Birthday" shaker card. I made this card for my little Godson Cristiano who turns 3 this year!

How cute is this little fishy stamp? 

The stamp set I used comes from Your Next Stamp - Snorkel Fun Fishy

And how cool are those bubbles!?!

To create the fish bowl I used a circle die. When making an incomplete cut of any die, place your die over the edge of the cutting plates so that there is no pressure on the area. Then I cut a straight edge across the top of the circle using a blade and ruler. 

I used my Spectrum Noir Markers (BT7, BT8, CT3, CG3, DR5, DR7) to colour this little guy in and added some Glossy Accents to the goggles.

For the background I blended some distress inks (peacock feathers) and spritzed it with some water to create the blotchy appearance.

For the sequin shaker mix I used clear sparkly sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and some Recollections Chunky Glitter.

To finish the inside of the card I did a little bit of watercolor smooshing over the sentiment and used the wonky stitched die from MTF.


For stamping I used memento Tuxedo Black Ink.


The patterned Paper came from American Crafts Shoreline Paper stack.
