BEE BOLD Alphabet Birthday Cards

Hello and welcome back!

Today a I have a couple fun cards to share with you featuring the BEE BOLD Alphabet Dies from Honey Bee Stamps latest Release. This set is perfect for those of you that love to customise your cards.

This first card I made for a friend of ours that will be celebrating a milestone birthday this weekend. Sometimes I find it hard to create masculine cards but seriously this was super simple to make and I think it turned out pretty Rad too! I loved how it was coming together that I was inspired to make the Girly version of it at the same time, which funny was a little more challenging only because of what I wanted it it to say, and because I also had to search through my entire collection to find the right stamps.

Here is how I made these cards:

• First I began by die cutting each letter from the BEE Bold Alphabet dies 3 times.
• I then stacked and glued them together.
• For the "DUDE" card used the sentiments from the Special Teacher to stamp onto a black Sentiment Banner die cut. I used a white pigment ink and heat set using a white embossing powder.

• I then created the background panels using Bristol paper and a combination of distress oxide inks. (See the thumbnails below for inks used)
• Once the background panels were dry I used the largest stitched Rectangle Frame to die cut them out. 

• For this "GIRLfriend" Card, I used a combination of stamps to create the sentiment.
• On the Angular Banner die cut I stamped the "YOU ARE" from the Sweet stamp set.
• The "FRIEND" that was stamp along the L comes from the Friends Like You stamp set (I masked off the S from FRIENDS) I then heat set the letters using a black embossing powder.
• And the AWESOME comes from the Special Teacher set. 
• Once the cards were assembled, I then added some glossy accents to just the "GIRL" letters.

On the inside of the cards I used a couple of other stamps to create the birthday greeting.

• I chose the HAPPY from the Best Parent stamp set because the font was similar to the one I used on the front.
• I then paired it with a cursive Birthday sentiment that comes from the Lily the Lamb set.

I love mixing and matching my stamp and die sets and using them to come up with totally different designs. I hope my cards today have inspired you to customise your cards.

Special Delivery | Baby Card

Hello dear friends!

Today I'm sharing a card I made featuring the New Arrival Stamp and Die set from Spellbinders. This set is super cute to have on hand for all those baby shower cards!

For this card, I decided to go with a gender neutral card to add to my card collection. I'm finding nowadays no one wants to find the sex of their baby... guess people still love Surprises!

Here is how this card was made:

• I began by stamping out the stork and baby images onto Bristol paper using the Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and set it aside to allow the ink to dry.
• Next, I die cut the clouds and added glimmer paste to them and also set those off to dry.
• I then began coloring the images in using distress oxide inks by smearing the inkpad onto an acrylic block and using a water brush to color them in (see images below for colors). 
• Once the coloring was dry, I die cut the panel using the pierced rectangle die.
• I then stamped out the Special delivery sentiment and heat embossed it using black embossing powder.
• Next, I added the clouds using foam tape to pop them up.
• Then adhered the panel to a grey A2 size Card base.
• Finished the card by adding some white details and used a black pen to deepen all the eyes.

Simon Says Stamp | STAMPtember | Spiritual Sentiments

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

Today's event kicks off the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember month long celebration! You are going to love the new SSS exclusive products showcased today throughout the participating blogs and also throughout the month as Simon shares collaborations with all your favorite companies!

My card today focuses on the newly released Spiritual Sentiments Stamp set. The stamps on this set are so versatile and uplifting, they could be used for so many reasons. Great sentiments stamps to have for those sometimes difficult encouragement cards.

Here is how I made this card:

• I began by stamping out the foliage stamps from the Spiritual Sentiment set using a green palette of distress oxide inks onto Bristol paper. The larger branches were stamped using two inks, thus creating an ombre ink effect. 
• Once the background was all stamped out, I then used a damp detail paint brush to color in the leaves by pulling the color from the stamped edges.
• While the back panel was drying, I worked on the card greeting. I first die cut the smallest stitched rectangle and then stamped out the greeting using Forrest Moss Oxide Ink and a stamping tool.  I also used the little hearts and stamped them out using Fired Brick oxide ink. 
• Since oxide inks take a while to dry, I sprinkled a clear embossing powder on the greeting and heat set it.  
• I then glued the sentiment panel to a silver glittered piece of cardstock and trimmed it, leaving a very small border all around the rectangle.
• Next, I ran the leafy panel through the die cutter using the largest stitched rectangle die, and glued that piece onto an A2 card base, using foam tape to pop it up.
• I then added the greeting to the leafy panel, again popping it up with foam tape.

To the inside, I stamped these beautiful words.
