Recently I was inspired by some cards Yana Smakula created. And although she used a background stamp on her cards, I thought I could recreate something similar using some of the new release stamps from Ink On 3's Holiday Blessings Release.
So here is the Holiday Blessings Christmas Trio Card Set I ended up creating with her inspiration.
For this first card, I masked off the cardstock with tape in the shape of a triangle to create a tree-like shape. I then stamped out the images from the Merry and Bright set using a green and red ink. I then used the Juicy Ink to stamp out the gold embossed images and heat set it using Gold Rush embossing powder.
Once the tree was finished I removed the masking tape and stamped out the sentiment where the tree trunk would be and this time I used Arctic White embossing powder to heat set it. I then die cut a frame to add to the outside of the card.
For this next card, I repeated the same process as above only this time I used the shape of a circle as I wanted to create an ornament.
On the background of the card, I used the evergreen branch from the Poinsettia set for a tone on tone look.
For this final card, I used the images from both the Merry and Bright and the Blessings set to create a red and white background. The white images were heat set using Arctic White embossing powder.
To create a wrapped gift box look, I used ribbon over the patterned background and then added my sentiment to where the ribbon crosses.
