Mother's Day Foiled Card | Studio Katia

Mother's Day is a special day to celebrate the most important woman in our lives, our mothers. It's a day to show them love and appreciation for all the sacrifices they've made for us. What better way to do that than with a thoughtful and personalized card?

Today's card features the beautiful Mom Hot Foil Plate as well as some other classic products from Studio Katia.

CARD RECIPE

I began by using the Hot Foil System along with the Mom Hot Foil Plate using PINK Glimmer Foil. Love how the hot foil adds a luxurious and professional look to any card. I then die-cut the image using the coordinating Mom Dies. To add a little pop of color I used a light pink colored Copic marker to color the flower.

Next, I die-cut the background pieces using Half Striped Cover. Once using white cardstock and then light pink cardstock. I then set the top frames aside and flipped the larger white negative piece to use under the stripes and stamp my sentiment on using the "to the best" stamp from the Spring Roses Set. To the Pink negative piece, I added a layer of glitter paste using the HEART- FETTI Stencil. Once the glimmer was dry I trimmed it to add to the top left corner of the card. I then glued the Half Striped Cover frame in place.

Finally, I glued the foiled Mom onto the striped area and added Rose Pink Pearls for some extra sparkle to this Mother's Day project.

Spring Daisy Bouquet Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Spring is in bloom and what better way to celebrate it than by creating a beautiful Spring Daisy Bouquet Card? This card features products from the Simply Spring Release from Honey Bee Stamps, and I think it resulted in the perfect card for a Spring Shower event or even a Wedding. In this blog post, I will be sharing with you all the details of how I made this card and the products I used.

CARD RECIPE

To start off, I used the Daisy Layers Bouquet stamp set and stamped the bouquet using the Bee Creative Gold Metallic Ink Pad. I then used gold embossing powder and heat set the image. Using the coordinating stencils made it easy to layer different colors of ink and create a beautiful bouquet of daisies. (See links below for inks used). I then used the Daisy Layers Bouquet dies to cut out the bouquet and create a 3D effect on the card by simply adding some foam dots.

For the card base, I used the Spring Vine Layering Frames to create a frame for the bouquet. The frames added a beautiful touch to the card and made the bouquet stand out even more. To add a pop of color under the frame, I used the Pinstripes & Polka Dots: Spring Paper Pad.

For the sentiment, I used Bee Creative Intense Black Ink then die cut it with the coordinating die from the Daisy Layers Bouquet Dies set. And for some sparkle, I used the Simply Spring Gem Stickers to embellish the card. These stickers were the perfect touch and added some extra shine to the card.
