Rainbow After the Storm | Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview

Happy Sunday friends!

Well, today starts Preview Week for Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release. Honey Bee Stamps is celebrating 4 years in business! How AWESOME is that!?!  Hopefully, you will be following along as I will be sharing lots of inspiration this week featuring all new goodies that will be available very soon in their SHOP. So let's get started with today's card.

CARD DETAILS

I began this card by blending out distress oxide inks onto a piece of Bristol paper. Then die cut the panel using the largest DECKLE EDGE FRAME. Once the ink was completely dry I used the RADIANT STENCIL to add the glittery sun using glimmer paste.

I then stamped out the sentiment "You're a Rainbow After the Storm" from the RAINBOW WISHES stamp set and then used the coordinating DIES to die cut the sentiment and also a few clouds from vellum.

I love how simple it was to create this card and how beautiful it turned out!

Lady, You Brighten My Day | Friendship Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Sunshine, Hello Friends and Happy April!

Yes, Spring has finally arrived and today I have a sunrise scene card featuring the SUNBURST COVER PLATE and a few of the Honey Bee Little Critters.

CARD DETAILS

I began this card by blending out the background. On a piece of Bristol paper, starting from the top I blended out Barn Door, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. Once the ink was dry I die cut the pieces of the background using the SUNBURST COVER PLATE. To the sun and the sunray pieces, I added a layer of Glimmer Paste and let them dry.

Next, I die cut the grass strips from green cardstock using the GRASS BORDER DIE. To add some more texture and dimension to the grass, I added some blade strokes using a few green colors of Copic markers.

The little bee and flowers come from the BUSY BEES set, which has to be one of my favorite Honey Bee sets as I reach for it so often. I stamped them out using Blackout ink, colored them in with Copics and then die cut them with their coordinating HONEY CUTS.

The cute little ladybug staring up at the sunrise comes from the LITTLE LADIES set, that was also colored in with Copics and die cut with the coordinating LITTLE LADIES HONEY CUTS. To add some sparkle and shine to the ladybug I added some Liquid Pixie Dust to the dots on the body and then added some drops of glossy accents and let set it aside to dry.

For the greeting, I combined a few stamps from the LOVE BUG set. First, I stamped onto a piece of black cardstock using white pigment ink that I also heat set using white embossing powder and then I used the BANNER BUILDER HONEY CUTS then trimmed it to size. 

Once all the pieces of the card were finished all I did was glue them onto an A2 top folding card base. Using foam tape to add dimension and layers to the scene.

Honey Bee Stamps Shine On - You Sparkle and Shine Birthday Card

Happy Fri-YAY Friends!

Today I have a super fun girly card to share with you all featuring the Shine On Set from Honey Bee Stamps. As soon I saw this set I knew I would love it, but it wasn't until I saw Kelly Latevola's card that I had to have it!!!  Such a fun and girly set perfect for so many reasons 😍 💅 

To create this card was actually quite simple. The hardest part was the coloring and even that was pretty easy to do. Because I added the paste on top of the colored bottles I lost the dimension I had colored. If you plan on recreating this I wouldn't bother with using more than one color.

So, first of all, I stamped out the nail polish stamp randomly onto the card panel. Then using  Spectrum Noir Markers I colored them in (See colors used below).  Next, I created a mask using some post-it notes, cutting only the bottle part out creating a stencil for the glimmer paste. I then used that stencil to apply the paste to all the colorful nail polish bottles. Stamped and die cut the sentiments from the coordinating Shine On set and popped them on to the center of the panel. Finished the card by adhering the panel to a black card base and adding some confetti.

Since I wanted to make this into a birthday card, I pulled out a few sentiments from a few other sets to stamp out my greeting and added the fun bow from Shine On.
