Unfortunately, my stamps did not arrive on time but the good news is that the Shoot for the Moon set was such a hit that it is being re-released as well! So I have made a Shoot for the Moon Shaker card for today's hop inspiration. If you want more inspo with this set check out this blog post →HERE
Let's take a look at this fun release Shoot for the Stars Set US | UK, this set will coordinate well with the Shoot for the Moon Set.
The cool thing about these sets is that they come in high-quality plastic sleeves, that are compatible to work with A5 ring binders. How cool is that!? They come in an Orange US|UK or Blue binder US|UK.
Before I get started on the card details, I am so excited to share that my→ Frameless Shaker Cards were the inspiration for Tonic's latest Shaker Pockets US | UK! Make sure to check them out!!!
They are a complete game-changer in the shaker game and I know a few sizes have already sold out! Luckily, I had some from when they were in the development stage and used it for today's project. They come in many sizes and they have this bundle that includes a bunch of sentiment dies, or you can purchase each size individually →HERE.
(Ingredients found in Supply List)
- Create your background. I used Atelier Re-Inkers to watercolor my background on Watercolor paper. I also added a layer of Liquid Pixie Dust for added sparkle before adding the splatters. Set aside to dry.
- Die-cut pieces from the Shoot for the Moon scene. Some will be on the inside and some die-cuts will be glued to the outside. I used cardstock from the SILVER SERVICE paper pad US|UK.
- Figure out where you want to stamp out the greeting.
- Prepare the surface for heat embossing and stamp sentiment. My paper was very textured at this stage and the impression I got wasn't the best. In hindsight, I should have stamped the sentiment before adding all the splatters.
- To the Moon, I attached a clear thread. See the picture below. This will allow for the moon to wiggle a little when the card is being shaken.
- Wrap the thread around the back of the panel and secure the line with a piece of tape.
- Trim the background to A2 size. You may need to trim it slightly smaller to fit nicely into the Shaker pocket | UK .
- Place the panel finished side face down onto the shaker pocket. Fold and secure 3 of the tabs to the backside of the panel.
- Fill the shaker pocket with the shaker bits.
- Seal the pocket by gluing down the last tab.
- Attach the shaker panel to the card base using strong double-sided tape.
- Finish the scene by gluing on the remaining die-cuts along the bottom of the panel. This also hides the fact that there are shaker bits inside adding that surprise element.
