Today I'm sharing this Beautiful Butterflies Friendship card ft. Stephanie Low's Wandering Butterflies Etched Dies for Spellbinders.
I wanted to create a bright and colorful card using these beautiful dies so I chose to color them using a rainbow palette. I loosely added layers of color to the butterflies using Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors. Once they were dry I added black and white splatters to them. To the top of each butterfly, I added the intricately cut vellum layer which I later added Wink of Stella glitter to. The body of the butterfly was colored with a black Copic marker and then I used glossy accents to give the body dimension. Once the butterflies were finished I played around with the layout and when I was happy with it I added watercolor to the background to match the butterfly that would be glued on top of that area. Before gluing down the butterflies, I stamped out the sentiment from the SSS Sketch Ranunculus set.
