Today I am excited to be joining the Studio Katia Design Team as we hop along with Kathy Raccosin on The Daily Marker Blog Hop for Day 16 of the Color Challenge!
Here is the fun card I created for the hop. I used the Best Friends Stamp set to create this cluster of cats and dogs by stamping it twice and doing some very simple masking in between.
To color my images in I used Spectrum Noir Markers. (Please don't ask for a list as I completely forgot to write them all down before I put them all away) 😕 Since this was a fairly large image to color in I kept the coloring and shading pretty simple. Initially, I wasn't going to color in the sky but I am happy I did as my experiment resulted in some funky streaky looking clouds.
Once the coloring was complete, I die cut the panel using the large Frame from the Darling Ribbon Die set and then added my sentiment dies from the Best Friends and the Ever Coordinating Die set. As finishing touches, I added glossy accents added pen details using Wink Of Stella, white and black Jelly Roller pens.
If you'd like to join the Hop stop by the Studio Katia Blog for all the details as there are always fun prizes and giveaways to be won! Thank you for stopping by, I hope the coloring of my Forever Best Friends Card Inspired you 😊
Until next time... Happy Hopping 👋

For those that don't know me, Hi my name is Ilda. 👋
I hope you have been enjoying this hop so far and have been inspired by all the beautiful creations along the way. If you have arrived fromCathy's blog, you are at the right place. Don't worry if you got lost, I have complete the list below to get you back on track or you can start again on the Studio Katia Blog. I was so excited when I saw this new Release that I couldn't stop creating, so I made 3 cards... ok, 4 cards to share with you all today! Yup, it's a long post so make sure your sitting down 😆
So onto my first card.
When I saw the Confetti Kindness Stamp I new I had to create an interactive card. I wanted my card to look like the card was throwing confetti. So that's exactly what I did!
It's really hard to tell from a photograph how it actually works. But the center circle spins and moves within the cut out circle underneath and the sequins are actually suspended by clear thread. When you spin the center piece the confetti look like they are being thrown. Make sure you are following me along on Instagram because I'll post this card in action on my instastories.
Here is another look at it to show you some of the movement in pictures.
The other cool thing I did when I created this card was to use the semicircle die from the new Square Scallop Creative Die set to create a full circle. By doing a partial die cut of the rounded edge. Great way to stretch you dies, plus I wanted the center to circle to coordinate with the outside dotted frame.
The for the background I used various colors of distress inks and just smooshed them onto the watercolor paper.
Here is another card example using pretty much the same process but this card does not spin. This time I used distress oxide inks to stamp and then heat set them with clear embossing powder.
For those of you that want to see exactly how these cards came together you can check out the process video below.
For my next card, I fell in love with the little furry faces from the Best Friends Stamps set. Rather then using the Best Friends stamp as it was meant to be, I thought it would be fun to have their little faces peeking out of each window from the Dotted Patterns Loops Die. To create this card I colored their little faces with Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut out each each of them. Since there are 12 windows and only 11 faces I just stamped, colored and cut out another cat. Only this time just colored it completely different. (See top left cat and bottom left cat.)
For the background I used distress oxide inks and blended them into each other and then sprayed a light mist over top of the background and used a paper towel to pick up some of the water leaving behind a splattered effect.
I then carefully placed each little face in the window, tucking in the cut edges and gluing them down to the back panel.
Then I just finished the card with the friends sentiment on the center of the card. Popped it up with foam tape, and added the finishing touches to the card (white gel pen, glossy accents, sparkle pen).
And here is my third and final card.... I hope you haven't fallen asleep yet, lol! Since Mother's Day will be here before you know it I thought I would get an early start. For this Shaker card I used the same semicircle die from the Scallop Square Die set and die cut it from the lower half of the card panel. I then die cut the entire panel using the dotted from from the Dotted Patterns: Darling Ribbon Die Set. Before going on any further I used some watered down black watercolor to splatter onto the panel and set it to dry.
To create the look of textured glass for the front of the shaker, I used an embossing folder to impress the design on the acetate before adhering it to the back of the panel. I then created the shaker area and filled it with the gorgeous new iridescent cones and the confetti. I then added the flowers from the Spring Bouquet which I had colored with Tombow markers and cut out with the coordinating die.
I finished the card by adding my sentiment to the tag from the Dotted Patterns Set 2 and gluing it under the flowers. Now that all was glued in place I finished by adding my embellishments (Black cord bow, Iridescent Bubbles, and Sparkle Pen)
