Alex Syberia Designs Kickstarter Campaign Inspiration Cards

Hello friends!

Today's post is going to be super short and sweet. I have waaaayyyy too many things to do right now, so I will keep this brief!

Today I have two inspiration cards today featuring a few of their beautiful sets. 

This first card features the For You Stamp Set 6x8" | Coordinating Dies that I stamped out using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks (Sunbeam, Citrus, Grapefruit, Peony, Pearfection and Surf)

To the background, I used the Modern Stripes Stencil 6x6" and applied Moonstone Glimmer paste to create a Slimline sparkly background. To extend the background I simply rotated the stencil once half of the paste was dry.

For this next card, I thought it would be fun to create a Christmas theme. So I added used Christmas colors to do that. This cute card features the From All of Us Stamp Set 4x6" and Coordinating Dies

For this background, I used the Fancy Background Stencil 6x6" with Gold Glacier Paste.

It's funny how your mind works, I knew there was something missing from this card, and it wasn't until now that I figured out what it was. I forgot to add the Celebrate Word Die to the top of the card. I since have and it really does complete it. Facepalm, LOL! If I end up taking new photos, because this is bugging me now, I will update these, haha!

Rainbow Shaker Birthday Cards | Studio Katia

Hello Friends!

I am back again today to share these two fun Rainbow Shaker Birthday Cards featuring the NEW Shaker Pockets! If you are following me or Studio Katia on Instagram, you may have seen these already in a Reel that was shared this past weekend. But for those that missed it here are all the details!

Fun fact: Did you know that these pockets were developed as a direct result of my DIY Frameless Shaker Cards, no kidding! In fact, Katia was the first person I approached to turn the DIY version into a product to make life easier for anyone who hated messing with foam tape to create shaker cards. 

Since then various other companies jumped onto this idea and have created them too (I must admit I couldn't contain my excitement about these and did share this idea with others at Creativation). Even still, I am so happy to see Studio Katia finally releasing these as they truly are a game changer when it comes to making shakers.

CARD RECIPE

• Begin by creating the background. For both these cards, I used a piece of pattern paper from the Black on White Paper Set. I then Ink Blended the rainbow starting with yellow ink in the center and then ink blending with pink and blue to create the rainbow blends.
• Trim the piece of paper to create a background for a mini slimline shaker and an A2 shaker.
• Remove the protective layer from the Shaker Pocket.
• I added strong adhesive tape to the back of the card panel, but you could also apply it to the side tabs of the pockets.
• Next, I wrapped the tabs around the panel and secured three sides to the card panel, to create a pocket. 
• I filled this first shaker card with Silver Foil Discs, then sealed the last pocket tab.
• I then attached the panel to an A2 Card Base.

For the front of the card:

• Stamp out the Birthday Sentiment from the It's Your Birthday stamp set. Use ink that sets quickly or you can heat emboss it too.  
• Die cut the sentiment done on vellum, using one of the Dotted Balloons Dies.
• Apply small dots of glue to the balloon behind the stamped image to hide the glue dots.
• Finish by adding a bow.

This next card was done the exact same way with a few differences that I will point out next.

• For this card, I used the Mini Slimline Shaker Pockets.
• The balloon I used comes from the Shaker Balloon Die set.
• The sentiment done in white embossing comes from the Mini Sending Greetings stamp set. To make it look like the sentiment is curved I attached it to the Misti front that way and stamped it out. I then heat embossed it and fussy cut the sentiment adding a tail on the end.
• For the shaker filler, I used both Silver Fever Foil Discs and Crystal Discs.

If you have never made a shaker because they look complicated, or you hate messing with foam tape, like I did, I promise you this is the easiest way to make them and the results speak for themselves. Just look, aren't they magical! Give these a try, I think you will love them!

CARD INSPIRATION

So let me show you a few cards that I made featuring some of these beautiful products!

This first card features the Create Your Own Happy Stamp Set 4x8" & Coordinating Dies. I also used the Fancy Background Stencil 6x6" to dry emboss the background panel. Hard to see it in the first pic but you can see it better in the next two. I also used the Stand-alone Dies | Celebrate Word Die to complete the sentiment. 

The inks for this card are from Simon Stays Stamp and the embellishments come from Studio Katia.

This next card also features the Create Your Own Happy Stamp Set 4x8" & Coordinating Dies. 

This time for the background panel I used the Fancy Cover Die A2 (5.5x4.25") and used kraft cardstock behind it to coordinate with the colors I used. 

The inks again for this card are from Simon Stays Stamp and the embellishments come from Studio Katia.

Fallen Leaves Card Set | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends and hello fallen leaves! 

The trees right now are my favorite. All the colors just make me smile😊🍂🍁 So for today's post, I tried to replicate some of nature's beauty.

CARD RECIPE

• Die cut the leaves from the Lovely Layers Fall Foliage Dies using watercolor paper.
• Mist paper and sprinkle various colors of Shimmer Powder.
• Allow to completely dry.
• Add splatters to the leaves using black ink.

• Glue onto another die-cut layer for strength and to add a little dimension. 

• Use the Fanciful A2 Foil Plate to dry emboss 4 pieces of black cardstock for the background.

• Foil the sentiments onto black cardstock using the Fall Foliage Foil Plate using Copper Glimmer Foil and the Hot Foil System.

• Die cut the words using the coordinating dies from Fall Foliage Frame Dies.

• Assemble cards and glue them onto the pattern paper from this latest release Free Bee with purchase, or a Pattern paper of your choosing. 

• Use foam dots to pop up the sentiments.
• Embellish the cards by adding coordinating pearls.

I hope these colorful leaves inspired you to pull out your inks, powders, sprays, or whatever media you like, and have fun making faux fall leaves. These pictures don't do these leaves justice, they are so beautiful and shiny in real life.
