Trifold See Through Shaker Cards | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Cyber Monday Crafty Friends! Hope you found some great deals this weekend.

I am back again today with a couple more Trifold See Trough Shaker Cards featuring goodies from Honey Bee Stamps. I told you I had a shaker addiction and I wasn't kidding, lol!

So let me tell you all about this first Rainbow Trifold See Through Card. Isn't she so pretty!?!

Here is how this colorful creation came together.

• Cut a Slimline Cello Bag to 4 5/16 x 6 1/2" for a vertical A2 size card. 
• Slide a piece of acetate inside the clear bag cut to A2 size.
• Fill the clear bag with glitter and rainbow-colored confetti, sorry the mix I used had been discontinued. But I just used a few sequins from each color of the rainbow.
• Cut a small sliver from the bottom of the front of the card base panel. This will make it easier for the card to close once it is all assembled.
• Flip the card base upside down so that the fold is on the bottom and the opening is on the top. Like a “V”. Face the panel that is shorter towards you (see the previous step).
• Place the filled clear bag in front of the upside-down card base and align the sides and the bottoms together. 
• Fold the overhang of the bag (1 Inch) over the top of the upside-down card base and crease the Cello Bag fold with your fingernails. This will create the flap that you will glue to the back of the card base.
• Cut the corners of the bag above the crease mark.
• To the back of the upside-down card, base add 2 strips of double-sided tape. One just under the edge of the card base and one ½’ below that one. Remove the protective piece from the double-sided tape.
• Center and align the bag in front of the upside-down card base and press the cello flap down onto the double-sided tape.
• Lay the card flat so that you can still access the opening of the shaker pocket. 
• Slide a piece along the entire width of the card using double-sided tape. Place the tape strip just above the creased edge of the cello bag flap. 
• Remove the protective layer and press the bag shut. This will seal the shaker pocket and keep glitter and shaker bits from flowing into the top opening. 
• Add an extra piece of clear tape along the edge of the cello flap for extra insurance.
• To finish the back of the card base, glue an A2 panel cut to the same size as the card base. This covers up the bag's flap and becomes the backside of the middle panel of the tri-fold.
• Finish the front of the panel by adding the holographic rainbow layering snowflakes dies
• Stamp out the sentiment from the Bitty Buzzwords: Holiday in white and heat set it using white emb. pwd. Cut the strip and add it to the front of the panel.
• Next, die-cut the holiday from the Bitty Buzzwords: Holiday Dies. Stack and glue three layers of white and then glue it to a black shadow layer. I used a white pearl to dot the "i". Glue the Holiday to the front of the card front to finish off the sentiment.
• Glue rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes.

To create a stopper, and keep the front panel propped up and displayed, I glued another snowflake to the bottom panel of the trifold.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Bitty Buzzwords: Holidays The Merry and Bright sentiment just ties the whole card together.

This next Snowman Trifold See Trough Shaker Card was done the exact same way as the previous card. I used silver chunky glitter from Martha Stewart that was not included in the list below, but I bet many of you already have this in your stash!

To the front of this see-through panel, I added the cutest snowman from the Build A Snowman Dies. To the snowman's hat and scarf, I added some white gel dots and a frosting of glitter.

In the image below, you can see the clear see-through front. Behind the snowman, I added a couple of trees from the Pine Tree Dies. To add snow to the trees, I added glue across the tree and the tips that were then covered in glitter. The Season's Greeting Sentiment comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Holidays stamp set heat embossed in white.

Since I had some snowflakes left from the previous card, I added another snowflake to the front of the card panel that I then finished with a large sequin and a crystal in the center. 

To the bottom panel of the trifold, I added the surprise element of a gift card holder made from the Gift Card Pocket Die, die-cut from vellum, and stamped with a sentiment from the Snow Family Like Ours stamp set.

Thankful For You Slimline Card | Inkon3

Happy Thanksgiving to my crafty American Friends!

Here in Canada, we had our celebration already but many of you that I have come to know and love over the years are from the US, so this post is dedicated to you. Here are some colorful maple leaves to represent the Canadian in me that is thankful for you!

Today's slimline card features the new Thankful For You Stamp set and a few of the new mini ink cubes from Inkon3. 

To make this card, 

• I stamped out the solid stamp of the maple leaf using a different ink of the mini ink cubes each time slightly overlapping one to the next (see links below for colors).
• Next, I prepped the entire panel with an anti-static bag to do some heat embossing.
• I went back over each leaf and stamped the outline using Juicy Ink and then heat set the lines using Gold Rush Emb. Pwd.
• For the sentiment, I stamped out the Thankful using Shark Tooth White Atelier Ink and then heat set it using Arctic White Emb.Pwd. which was then fussy cut and glued in place with black foam dots.
• I then trimmed the slimline panel and added it to another Gold Glitter panel that was then glued to the card base.
• To finish off this card I added a few gold pearls.

Rainbow Snowflake Shaker Cards | Sprayed Stencil Backgrounds | Simon Says Stamp

Hello Friends, 

I am back today with these Rainbow Snowflake Shaker Cards featuring supplies from the Peace On Earth Release from Simon Says Stamp. The snail mail from the US to Canada is killing me... Simon Says has already had another Handmade Holiday Release since this one😱 Thankfully still plenty of time before Christmas!

I had fun creating these cards using my clear bag shaker technique, which makes the assembly process easy when making multiples.

Here is how these were made.

• Lay the snowflake stencil onto a white cardstock panel. Since the stencil is fairly delicate and light I used tape to hold the stencil in place. 
• Use sprays to add color to the background. Anywhere the stencil lays will remain white. I used 3 colors to create a rainbow mix using Distress Oxide Ink Sprays. (See links below)
• Remove the stencil to reveal the background for the first panel.
• Use the ink left on the stencil and flip it onto another white cardstock panel. Use a paper towel to press the image in place.
• I then dipped the stencil in the excess spray and gave it a light water spritz and repeated the previous step to create another background panel.
• Now to create the shakers themselves I used Version One of my Clear Bag Shaker Card Technique. Watch IG Reel below. Or you could easily create these cards using my original DIY Frameless Shaker Card design as well or use a premade shaker creator.

• For the shaker filler, I used a few of the Harmony Snowflake Dies along with Stars Glitter, Majestic Sequins, and a clear rainbow sequin mix that I have had for ages and couldn't tell you where they came from.

Below is the first background created with the sprays and the stencil over the panel. For this first card, I added an extra step to the clear bag. I used the Merry Hot Foil Plate to add the Merry using Aura Glimmer Foil to the top of the clear bag. You will need a Hot Foil System for this step or if you have a die you like you can just glue it to the front of the clear bag. I was so excited when I saw Amy Rysavy share this foiling technique on plastic in a recent post that I had to try it myself on these clear bags.

To the front of this card, I also added some more Harmony Snowflakes dies cut from Gold Foil Mirror cardstock. The Christmas Sentiment Strip comes from the Sentiment Strips Reverse Love Peace Joy set. I then finished the centers of the snowflakes with Iridescent Round Gems. 

These next cards feature the negative results of the sprayed stencils. I think I love these backgrounds more as the snowflake images are more visible. For these cards, I used sentiments from the Sentiment Strips Love Peace Joy, and added a Silver Mirrored Cardstock  Harmony Snowflake Dies to the fronts.

And finally, this last card was done exactly as the previous one only using a different sentiment. 

I know I have a shaker problem and I am slowly working through my issues one shaker at a time 😂 But honestly I am so happy to finally use the sequins and shaker bits that have I have been hoarding for years, and I still haven't really made a dent in them.
