Day 3 Sneak Peek Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release

Hello, my sweet friends!

I am buzzing by today to say welcome to Day 3 of the of Sneak Peeks for Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release. All products will go live at Midnight EST 4/17, so the links below will not be active until then.

CARD DETAILS

My card today features a few more goodies from the release. To begin, I stamped out the cutest bee from the Spring FREE Bee set (which you can get Free with a purchase of $75 or more) and colored it in using Copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut it out (which you can also get if your purchase is $100 or more).

I then cut out and colored the strips for my rainbow using Copic markers, I won't say too much about the rainbow because it's a sneak peek for another day. Shhh 🙊

Next, I glued the pieced rainbow to the background where I had stenciled in some clouds using the OUTDOOR SCENE BUILDER STENCILS.

I then finished the front of the card off by adding the BUZZ Die that I stacked and glued 3 times and then added the "ing by to say" from the BUZZ stamp set that I had heat embossed in white on black paper.

To the inside of the card, I stamped out sentiments from the Spring FREE Bee stamp set.

Peony Trimmings Window Shaker Scene Card | Studio Katia

Hello, my friends. How are you all doing? I hope you all are hanging in there. I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you. Besides going to work, I stay at home with the family and try to distract myself as much as possible by crafting, cleaning, baking, helping the kids with school work... I wish I could just sit and relax but I just can't :(

Today's card was obviously was inspired by our current reality. Most of us are now looking at the world through a window by staying as safe as possible in our homes. I pray we all do our part so that we can be with each other in person again soon.

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I stamped the PEONY TRIMMINGS out and then colored them in using Copic markers. If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen that I colored the peonies during Kathy Racoosin's last 30-day coloring challenge.

I then used the PEONY TRIMMINGS coordinating dies to cut out the flowers.

Next, I created the shaker window.  I die cut all the pieces form the DOTTED PATTERNS SET 4 and used most of them to make the window scene. To the center frame, I glued a piece of ACETATE and then added the two inside window frames that I colored with a grey marker.

I then added FOAM TAPE along the edge of the window frame, filled it with SATIN RAINBOW CONFETTI added the cloud-like banners from the DOTTED PATTERNS SET 4 to create a curtain-like design and then closed the shaker up with a piece of cardstock that I had blended with some Atelier Inks from Ink On3 to make it look like a sunrise.

To the card panel, I blended out the brick background using the SQUARE BRICK stencil and Iced Spruce Distress Oxide ink. I then glued the shaker window in the center of the card front and glued the scallop frame to the background. I then glued the peonies onto the card front.

To finish the card off I stamped out the thinking of you sentiment from the PEONY TRIMMINGS and then die cut it out using a banner die from the PEONY TRIMMINGS coordinating dies.

Day 2 Sneak Peek Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release

Hello, again my friends! Welcome to Day 2 of Sneak Peeks for Honey Bee Stamps 5th Anniversary Release. Today's card features the Far Out Friends Stamp and Dies and the Stellar Sentiments Stamp set.  All products will go live at Midnight EST 4/17, so the links below will not be active until then.

CARD DETAILS

To begin I stamped out the cute little astronaut and the moon from the Far Out Friends Stamp set and colored them in using Copic markers. To the astronaut's helmet, I added a layer of glossy accents and set it aside to dry.

The background was created using alcohol inks on Yupo paper that I then sprayed with white pigment ink to create the galaxy like background.

To create movent and add an interactive element to my card I die cut a circle in the center of the background. To the astronaut, I glued a piece of string to the top of the helmet, this will limit its movement once it is all put together. I also glued a button on his back, smaller than the opening I had created on the background. To keep the astronaut from falling out the front, I die cut a larger circle and glued it the button.

To ensure the astronaut moved freely, I cut 3 cardstock panels, slightly smaller than the card front and then die cut a large circle opening and glue the 3 panels onto the back of the galaxy panel. The space in the center allows for the disk I created to have space to move freely allowing the astronaut to spin. I also tucked the string from the astronaut's helmet between the card front and the card base before gluing it together.

Now, that I explained how I created the spinner mechanism, I will now show you another card using the same process with this cute girl astronaut.

The galaxy was done the same way, only this time I did not cover the entire panel.

The spinner mechanism is this time under the moon she is standing on. The length of the string on the helmet is what determines how much rotation and movement she gets.

For the moon sentiment, I did use the coordinating STELLAR SENTIMENT DIES.

Today's card features a few items from the new release.  The background was made using the Candles Coverplate Die.

The number 16 comes from the new Balloon Border Dies that I colored in using Copic markers, to give them somewhat of a foil appearance.

The sentiment comes from the new PARTY stamp set.

Bold Beautiful Floral Card | Spellbinders FSJ Stamp of the Month | April 2020

Hello Friends.

I hope you all are hanging in there. Today I have another beautiful card to share with you, in fact, the name of the stamp set from this month's FSJ Stamp of the Month is called Bold Beautiful.

CARD DETAILS

I started off by stamping out the floral images all around the card panel. To stamp the images I rubbed the ink of the Tombow Markers onto certain areas of the stamp to create a no-line watercolor look onto Bristol Paper. Green colors for the leaves and stems and reds and pinks for the flowers and berries.

Once the background was stamped out, I used a fine tip water brush to color the florals in and also added more pigment where needed.

I then stamped out the Bold Beautiful stamp and heat set it using gold embossing powder. I then trimmed it to add to the card front with some foam.

To finish off this beauty I added some Shimmering Sequins for sparkle and glossy accents to the berries. Heres a closer look at the pretty flowers.
