Back to School | Chalkola Chalkboard Marker Sign

Today is the first day of back to school for these two kiddos. They were super excited to go and see all their friends and teachers again. I, on the other hand, have mixed feelings about their return to school. I pray for a safe return for all the students and teachers during this crazy pandemic we are living through.

Here are my two masked Ninja COVID fighting warriors. Tomás is in Grade 11 this year and Maia in Grade 9.

Had to share Tomás' expression here. He was saying "Really Mom! I'm so thankful I only have to do this one more year." (Little does he know that I plan on taking these pictures even when they go to University, lol!)

Maia is super excited about being a "Grade 9'er", the highest grade in the school where she's been at since Pre-School.

Christmas Blessings Wreath Card | Simon Says STAMPtember | Etched Eucalyptus Wreath

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

CARD DETAILS

Well, I guess this will be my first official Christmas card of the year. I was resisting making one as long as possible as I didn't want to be reminded of our long cold winters, so I'm praying for a short one, lol!

My card features the new ETCHED EUCALYPTUS WREATH Die from the STAMPtember release.

Here's how this card was made:

• Die-cut ETCHED EUCALYPTUS WREATH Die using Silver Glitter and Green Cardstock. Glue both together, overlapping different areas.
• Glue wreath onto a white cardstock piece that has been die-cut using a frame from the STITCHED RECTANGLES Die Set.
• Use foam tape to mount onto a red cardstock A2 sized panel that has been glued onto the card base.

• Die-cut the CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS DIES three times using Black cardstock. Stack and glue together.
• Position Die Sentiments on the card front, centered on the wreath and glue.

• Finish embellishing the card with pearl details.

Have a Colorful Day Inspiration Cards | Spellbinders | GOM September 2020

Hello, dear crafty friends!

Today I have a set of rainbow cards to share with you using the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month for September 2020 "Have a Colorful Day" Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. I had so much fun creating these cards that I actually had to stop myself from creating more. If you know me you know how much I love rainbows!

CARD DETAILS

Here is how these cards were made.

Start by plugging in the HOT FOIL SYSTEM. Use the RAINBOW Glimmer Foil and trim it down to size using the plates you want to use as guides. Once the system is ready and the plates are hot, run the foil sandwich through the PLATINUM 6 DIE CUTTING PLATFORM. For this card, I only foiled the Shine Bright Sentiment from the EVERYDAY SENTIMENTS II.

I then used the rainbow and cloud dies to cut out the rainbow and pieced it together. Luckily I had some rainbow craft foam scraps that coordinated perfectly. I then inlaid the gold arches.

To finish the card I used some iridescent raindrops.

For this next card, I used the striped arches to foil the rainbow onto the card front again using the RAINBOW Glimmer Foil. I then foiled the sentiment using a BLACK Glimmer Foil and used the RECTANGLE ETCHED DIES to trim down the panel.

Next, I used the negative of the gold glitter rainbow from the previous card to outline the striped arches and added a couple of silver glitter clouds to complete the rainbow design.

To the card base, I added a rainbow border using the GLIMMER RECTANGLE GLIMMER PLATES.

For this third card, I began by foiling the MODERN LINES GLIMMER PLATE across the bottom of the card panel. I used the rainbow die to figure out where to position the ached sentiment and then used the RAINBOW Glimmer Foil once again to foil onto the paper.

I then die cut another rainbow using silver glitter foil paper and used the negative piece only and inlaid the rainbow craft foam from the first card. To finish this card I popped on the two clouds.

This last card took the longest to make as I used the same rainbow plate on different spots of the card front.

To the center rainbow on the card front, I added the silver glitter paper to fill it in and then added a sentiment strip that was done using SILVER Glimmer Foil on black cardstock. 

And this card was complete after I added all the cute little clouds. I hope you enjoyed this cheerful rainbow-inspired cards.

Best Wishes Birthday Card | Studio Katia

Hello Friends.

Can you believe it's the last day of August today?! I am trying to hold on to every minute of Summer still because our Fall Season is super short. And, that means a long cold Winter will be here soon. Eeek!  Anyways, August was a busy birthday month for us and so I have another cute and simple birthday card to share with you.

CARD DETAILS

Here's how you can recreate and make something similar:

• Stamp out the MINI BIRTHDAY CAKE using no-line color ink.
• Color in the image (Copic Markers used).
• Die-cut the image using the MINI BIRTHDAY CAKE Coordinating Die.
• Add details to image, white gel pen highlights, glitter pen, and Glossy Accents to candle flames.

• Die-cut Background Panel using HALFTONE DOTS COVER DIE and glue onto a colored cardstock piece trimmed to size, then adhere it to the card base.
• Add foam behind MINI BIRTHDAY CAKE image and adhere to the card front.

• Stamp sentiment from TRIMMINGS SAYING ONE and die cut using the SIMPLE TRIMMINGS coordinating die. Cut extra banners to glue together for extra thickness. 
• Glue the banner under the Birthday cake image.

• Embellish background with SKY BLUE CRYSTALS using SK GLUE, EMBELLISHMENT WAND, and the TRIANGLE TRAY to make the process a lot easier.
