Oh Deer Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY | Ink On 3

 “Oh Deer” the holiday season is near, but have no fear the new Ink On 3 stamp set is here!!!

Hello, friends and welcome to the Oh Deer Blog Hop. Today the Ink On 3 Creative Team is sharing inspiration featuring the newest Oh Deer Stamp and Die Set.

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I stamped out the deer and the Christmas lights from the OH DEER stamp set using BLACKOUT Ink, colored them in using Copic Markers and then die cut them using the Coordinating OH DEER die set. Rather than leaving a white edge I on the die-cut pieces I colored it in using a dark Copic Maker to blend it more into the night sky background.

Next, I worked on the background panel. First I stamped out the sentiment from the OH DEER set, and then the stars from the MAGICAL UNICORN stamp set using JUICY Ink and then heat set the image using CHROME Embossing powder.  To the inside of the stars, I added LIQUID PIXIE DUST for extra shine. I also added pixe dust to the flowers on the Deer's crown.

After I was done embossing the background, I blended out Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink along the edges of the panel.

To add the colors of the glowing Christmas lights, I figured out where I wanted the lights to be and then stamped them out onto the panel. I then used a small detail brush to blend out tiny circles behind each light with the corresponding Christmas light. Once the colors were blended I then added a layer of LIQUID PIXIE DUST over top. To fill in any empty background areas I then penned in some silver stars with a silver gel pen.

To finish off the card I added glossy accents to certain areas to give them some shine and dimension, love the results especially on the eyes.

Studio Katia Winter 2019 Release Blog Hop

Hello, friends and welcome to my blog. Today I am joining the Studio Katia Design Team to celebrate their latest Winter 2019 Release with a Blog Hop.  This release includes 6 New Clear Stamp Sets and 4 sets of Coordinating Dies, 4 New Stand Alone Creative Dies, 3 New Stencils and 2 New Glitter Jars! If you have already started to Hop along you would have arrived here from my very talented friend Isha's Blog. Find out where the next Hop stop is at the end of this post and let's get started with my cards.

CARD DETAILS

For this first card, I stamped and Copic colored two of the poinsettia clusters from the POINSETTIA BORDER stamp set and then die cut them using the coordinating POINTSETTIA BORDER Die. I then glued the borders together to form a wreath.

To add a sentiment to the center I stamped out the sentiments from the POINSETTIA BORDER stamp set onto the Hexagon Banner from the HALF STRIPED COVER die set.

For the background, I glued a white layer of cardstock that I had die cut using the MINI POLKA DOTS COVER DIE onto a dark pink piece of card stock for contrast.

To embellish the card and centers of the poinsettias I added some GOLD FOIL PEARLS.

For this next card, I went with something simple. I began by die cutting the frame from the HALF STRIPED COVER out of gold cardstock.  Once again I stamped out the POINSETTIA BORDER stamp set this time I heat embossed it in gold and die cut it with the coordinating POINSETTIA BORDER Die.

I then stamped and heat set the sentiments from the POINSETTIA BORDER stamp set directly onto the card base and also used the Sending you sentiment from the A CUP OF THANKS to complete the greeting.

Next, I glued the die-cut pieces onto the card base and then embellished the centers of the poinsettias with the GOLD SPARKLE CRYSTALS this time. I also painted the poinsettias with some liquid pixie dust to add shine to the petals (sorry not very noticeable in the pictures).
