Happy BEE Day Release Blog Hop | Day 1

Rainbow Wishes card for Happy BEE Day Release Blog Hop Day 1 by ilovedoingallthingscrafty.com

Happy Fri-YAY my Crafty Peeps and welcome to Day 1 of the Honey Bee Stamps 4th Birthday Bash Blog Hop!

Today I have another rainbowlicious card to share featuring some of my favorite new goodies from this release.

CARD DETAILS
To begin, I blended tumbled glass distress oxide ink onto a piece of Bristol paper leaving white space around the top left side of the panel where eventually the sun would go. Once the ink was dry I die cut the paper using the largest SCALLOP A2 CARD FRAME. I then applied Golden Crystal Glimmer paste over the new RADIANT BACKGROUND Stencil to add the sun rays onto the background and set it aside to dry while I die cut the rest of the pieces.

The pieces I used on the card front all come from the RAINBOW WISHES Honey Cut set. I die cut them all out of white heavyweight cardstock and then used Copic markers to color in the rainbow arches and also die cut the cloud inserts using white felt. To the circle die cut pieces for the sun I also added the same gold glimmer paste to the top layer.

Before gluing down the rainbow and the clouds to the card front, I stamped out the "sending you" sentiment from the RAINBOW WISHES stamp set in the bottom right corner. Then just glued down the pieces using foam tape to add dimension.

To the inside of the card, I also stamped this fun sentiment from the RAINBOW WISHES stamp set and then just used the same Copic colors I used on the front of the card to color in the rainbow.

You Are Freaking Awesome | Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview

You Are Freaking Awesome for Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview by ilovedoingallthingscrafty.com

Yay! Today is Day 5 and the last day of Sneak Peeks for the Honey Bee Stamps Bee Day Release! Click here if you missed any of my sneaks → Day 1Day 2Day 3 and Day 4!

For my card today I wanted to keep it quite playful as the background I created reminded of a Jesters outfit.

CARD DETAILS
To begin I used the DIAMOND PATTERN stencils to blend out a few colors of distress oxide inks. To keep the Diamonds from blending into each other I used a mask I made using post-it notes.

I then stamped into each diamond a design from the new DIAMOND PATTERNS stamp set using the same colored oxide ink I had blended the Dimond out with.

The sentiments I used come from the very sassy AWESOME SAUCE stamp set that I stamped in Juicy Ink SSS|IO3 onto black card stock and then used white embossing powder SSS|IO3 to heat set it. I then used the BANNER BUILDER Dies to cut out the sentiment strips and added them to the card front using foam tape. Finally, I finished off this card with a few CLEAR IRIDESCENT sequins.

CAS Stitched Flower Card Set | Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview

CAS Stitched Flower Card Set for Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview by ilovedoingallthingscrafty.com

Hello again! As you all can see I have been a busy BEE making all these flower cards 😊 Click → Day 1Day 2 and Day 3 Peeks!

I honestly meant to make one card and then, I realized how quick it was to make one that I ended up making 6 cards! I guess a cardmaker can never have enough cards, lol.

CARD DETAILS

For my cards, I began by using a bunch of colored cardstock scraps and die cutting them with the STITCHED FLOWER DIES to create all the die cut pieces for my flowers.

CAS Stitched Flower Card Set for Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview by ilovedoingallthingscrafty.com

The next thing I did was assemble the flower heads together. Which simply was to add a foam piece in between the layers of the die cuts.

CAS Stitched Flower Card Set for Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview by ilovedoingallthingscrafty.com

I then arranged the flowers onto the card bases, and once I was happy I glued down the stems but waited until my sentiment was stamped before I glued the flower tops in place.

This was the only flower I didn't add a stem too. I wanted to create one as an example of what it would look like without the stem. But I did add some confetti to the center to add extra interest.

And for this card example below, I used the same small flower die to create a smaller flower and added two of them to a card front which still fit very nicely.

For the sentiments, I used the stamps from THANKS A BUNCH set, inked them up with Versafine Black Onyx Ink and then heat set them with clear embossing powder SSS | IO3.

Hello Beautiful for Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview by ilovedoingallthingscrafty.com

Happy Monday!!!

If you haven't been able to tell by now, I fill you in... I love rainbows! The rainbow palette has always been a favorite of mine and is why I love using it so much in my cards. Yesterday, I shared a rainbow card and today is a new day so here is some more rainbow inspiration for Day 2 of Sneak Previews.

CARD DETAILS

For this card, I began by blending out the rainbow arches from the RAINBOW WISHES STENCIL onto Bristol paper using distress oxide inks. I also lightly blended tumbled glass towards the bottom of the paper. I then used a DECKLE EDGE FRAME to die cut the panel.

Onto the card base and the bottom of the rainbow, I added a few glimmer paste clouds using the clouds from the RAINBOW WISHES STENCILS.

The Hello Beautiful sentiment comes from the THANKS A BUNCH stamp set and then I used coordinating DIES to cut the sentiment out.

Rainbow After the Storm for Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release Preview by ilovedoingallthingscrafty.com

Happy Sunday friends!

Well, today starts Preview Week for Honey Bee Stamps Happy BEE Day Release. Honey Bee Stamps is celebrating 4 years in business! How AWESOME is that!?!  Hopefully, you will be following along as I will be sharing lots of inspiration this week featuring all new goodies that will be available very soon in their SHOP. So let's get started with today's card.

CARD DETAILS

I began this card by blending out distress oxide inks onto a piece of Bristol paper. Then die cut the panel using the largest DECKLE EDGE FRAME. Once the ink was completely dry I used the RADIANT STENCIL to add the glittery sun using glimmer paste.

I then stamped out the sentiment "You're a Rainbow After the Storm" from the RAINBOW WISHES stamp set and then used the coordinating DIES to die cut the sentiment and also a few clouds from vellum.

I love how simple it was to create this card and how beautiful it turned out!

Clean and Simple Cards | Simon Says Stamp Blossoms and Butterflies Release | Dahlia Frame Die

Hey Friends, I am back again today with a couple of clean and simple cards featuring the Dahlia Frame Die from the latest Simon Says Stamp Blossoms and Butterflies Release. I find clean and simple the hardest card design to pull off, but I am happy with my results and hopefully, they inspire you!

Clean and Simple Cards for Simon Says Stamp Blossoms and Butterflies Release ft. Dahlia Frame Die by ilovedoingallthingscrafty.com

CARD DETAILS

With this first card, I had an idea of making the Dahlias represent two friends leaning on each other for support. So I began by using the Dahlia Frame Die to die cut a few flowers from watercolor paper. As you can see I just snipped the flower out of the frame. I also used really old cutting plates so that the pieces from the center weren't die cut all the way through.
Tip →For intricate dies like this one, I like to use a metal shim if I want to get a great cut the first time around.

Then I watercolored my flowers and background using distress inks adding layers of color and allowing the ink to dry in between to add texture and deepen the color. I then die cut the background using a SSS Frame and used one of the sentiments from the SSS Sentiment Strips to add my greeting.

I finished off the card by adding a few clear drops and coloring in the center of the flower petals with Liquid Pixie Dust.

For this next card, I die cut the Dahlia Frame from a piece of white card stock. Then on a piece of Bristol paper, I did some controlled ink smooching by adding distress inks to an acrylic block, misting it with water and pressing it on to the paper. Next, I glued the die cut dahlia frame to the colored background and trimmed that to the size of the frame. I then glued that onto the center of my card base. The thin frame I used comes from the SSS Frames and the sentiment I used I cut from the SSS Sentiment Strips.

To finish I added glossy accents into the wells of the flower cuts and glue some sparkling sequins.
