Framed Lovely Layers Floral Bouquet | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my friends and Happy Monday!

Today I am super excited to share with you this beautiful Framed Lovely Layers Floral Bouquet featuring many of the lovely layers dies from Honey Bee Stamps. I've had this idea since the sunflower die was released and was dying to make it. I have made many similar frames in the past, which I will share with you at the end of this post, but this time was the first time I used dies to create the flowers. 

If you love die-cutting, this project is for you. I made this over a period of two days. The first day I spent die-cutting and ink blending all the pieces. The second day was pretty much assembling and embellishing it. 

Here is a breakdown of how and what I used to put it all together.

FRAME RECIPE 

Dies:

•  Lovely Layers: Sunflower Dies

• Lovely Layers: Coneflower Dies

• Lovely Layers: Hydrangea Dies

• Lovely Layers: Easter Lily Dies

Frame:

• Square 9 ¾ " Frame from IKEA 

(The frame I used has been discontinued, the one I linked is very similar) 

Paper: 

• Heavy Weight 110lbs Colored Cardstock

Ink for blending:

•  Atelier Inks from Inkon3 (see links below)

Die Cut Machine:

• Gemini Junior SSS | AMZ

Adhesives:

•  Bee Creative Glue

• Sakura Quickie Glue Pen

• Foam Squares

Embellishments:

•  Seed Beads - colored with a brown marker

• Apple Green Crystal Drops

• Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops

• Sparkle Glitter

• Liquid Pixie Dust

Other Tools:

• Embellishment Wand
• Detail Blender Brushes

Once all the pieces were die-cut and inked up, I then assembled each flower individually using foam in between each layer. I then played with the arrangement until I came up with one I liked and took a photo of the design to guide me when it came time to glue it all down.

To the centers of the sunflowers, I added a layer of glue and dropped seed beads into the puddle. Once the area was dry I used a brown Copic marker to color the beads. To the top layer of the center, I added tiny drops of glossy accents and then added sparkle glitter over it. This adds some raised dimension and shine. For the coneflower centers, I used a glue pen and added tiny dots of glue, and then used the same glitter. I also used crystal drops to add details to the hydrangea centers and the Easter Lily.

The flowers were then glued to a piece of white cardstock that I had cut to fit the frame. Use foam tape to build up height where you feel it may be needed. I used about 4 layers of foam to raise the center sunflower. To finish off the bouquet I added a couple pieces of twirled cardstock to create some vine-looking greenery.

For additional shine, I painted the edges of some of the hydrangea flowers using liquid pixie dust.

White Sunflower Slimline Hello Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to my blog.

Have you ever seen white sunflowers? I have to admit, I had never seen them until this year and I fell in love with how beautiful they looked in white. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers and in white, it just took them to another level!

This card was super simple to make as there was no stamping or coloring involved, just a bit of ink blending and die-cutting so it did take a little longer to do, but the results were so worth it.

Paper: 

• Black, Light Cream, and Light Green Heavy Weight Colored Cardstock

• Neenah Solar White 110lbs

Ink:

•  Antique Linen Distress Oxide

• Goddess Green Atelier Ink

Die Cut Machine:

• Gemini Junior

Adhesives:

• Bee Creative Glue

•  Foam Squares

Embellishments:

•  Burlap Lace Ribbon

• Chunky Sparkle Glitter

Other Tools:

• Detail Blender Brushes
• Stardust Gel Pen

To bring the flowers to life, I added ink to the center of the flower layers and the edges of the leaves. I then curled the petals and added foam to each layer to give each flower dimension.

To the center of each flower, I just had to add sparkles. I then added more by using a gel pen to the top layer where the seed impressions are made into the die-cut. 

To the background, I glued a piece of burlap lace ribbon, then arranged and glued the elements onto the slimline panel. I then finished off this Fall card by adding the hello from the Bitty Buzzwords Dies that I staked and glued 3 times using black cardstock.

I used vellum behind the house layer. To the windows, I used a yellow marker to color in the area. This will add a yellow tint making the card spookier, just in case the recipient wants to add a tea light behind the card to display it. For fun, I stamped spider webs in each window and glued a jack-o-lantern to the bottom right window.

I love the Mini Slimline size. As you can see all that is on the card front is the Autumn Buzzword Die along with some leaves from the Itty Bitty Flowers set. This would be a great size to mass produce as it is quite small and fairly quick to make especially if you used pattern paper rather than ink blend it.

I love this Basket Weave Stencil from the Spring Release. Doesn't it look like a sweater pattern? Well, I hope you thought so too as that is what I was going for with the warm sweater weather vibes.
