Hello Summer DAY 4 Sneak Peeks | Hello Summer Sunset Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends and happy weekend to the rest of us.

Welcome to the Hello Summer DAY 4 Sneak Peeks for Honey Bee Stamps. I am in love with the stamp set featured on my card today. I think it may be one of my favorites from this release. The set I am referring to is the HELLO SUMMER set.

CARD DETAILS

For my card today I began with blending a sunset as the background for my card using the CIRCLE SPOTLIGHT STENCIL and the distress oxide inks listed below.

Once the ink was completely dry, I stamped out the Hello Summer, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and then die cut the panel using a frame from the DECKLE EDGE A2 HONEY CUTS.

Next, I added the stamped images that I had colored and die cut using the coordinating HELLO SUMMER Dies.

I then finished the card by adding some black gem stickers around the sentiment and some stickles to the glass cup.

Oh, how I wish I was on a beach right now watching a gorgeous sunset.

Color Swatch Crafty Friendship Card | Studio Katia

Hello and Happy Saturday Friends!

For my card today I was inspired by color swatches, so I thought it would be fun to create a Colorful Color Swatch Crafty Friendship Card featuring the new DOTTED SQUARE FRAME from Studio Katia's latest release. This die is perfect not only as a frame but because of the square dies you get this would also make a great die to use for swatching ink colors.

  CARD DETAILS

To begin I die cut the DOTTED SQUARE FRAME from a piece of Neenah Cardstock. Once I had the pieces all cut out I began ink blending each square in rainbow order using a variety of Distress Oxide Ink pads. See thumbnails below for the colors used.

Next, I glue the panel down onto the card front and then popped the squares in place using foam tape. To the orange square, I stamped out the sending stamp from the JAPANESE PEONY set.

Next, I die cut 3 layers of the Crafty from the ARTSY TRIMMINGS DIES and the hugs from the LOVELY WORDS DIES, stacked and glued them together. I then glued them in place and finished them off with a layer of glossy accents.

To finish the card, I added some ONYX CRYSTALS as embellishments and then die cut and added the black frame to balance out the black focal points on the card.
