Hello Summer Blog Hop Day 2 | Hello Tropical Lattice Garden Slimline Card | Honey Bee Stamps

CARD DETAILS

My card today features the beautiful PARADISE BLOOMS that I stamped out and colored using Copic Markers and then die cut them with the coordinating PARADISE BLOOM Dies.

I then embellished each flower with glossy accents and added Liquid Pixie Dust to some and set them aside to dry while I worked on the background.

For the slimline background, I first blended distress oxide inks onto a paper panel. I then trimmed it down to fit behind the frame from the SLIMLINE SENTIMENTS EYELET DIE set.  I then created the lattice for the background using the GARDEN LATTICE CP TOP. To extend the size of the lattice, I used a partial die cut technique, but if you don't want to do that you can just join two die-cut pieces as the flowers in front will cover up the seem anyways. I then trimmed the edges of the lattice to fit under the slimline scallop frame and then glued all the layers to the card front.

Next, I arranged the flowers and glued them all to the card front using foam tape in areas to add dimension. To the centers of the Plumeria flowers, I added some white GEM STICKERS.

The hello sentiment die also comes from the SLIMLINE SENTIMENTS EYELET DIE set, I die cut it 3 times, stacked and glued it together. I also added a layer of Liquid Pixie Dust to the top of and finished off with a layer of glossy accents.

Hello Summer DAY 5 Sneak Peeks | Beach Slimline Scene Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Sunday! 

And, welcome to the Hello Summer DAY 5 Sneak Peeks for Honey Bee Stamps. I had mentioned yesterday that I am in love with the HELLO SUMMER set. Can you blame me?! Just look at all the stamps I used in the card from the set, and there are a few more stamps that I didn't use. This card also features the MAKING WAVES BORDER DIES.

CARD DETAILS

I began this card by stamping out all the images from the HELLO SUMMER stamp set, colored them in using Copic markers and then die cut each piece using the coordinating HELLO SUMMER dies.

I then die cut the pieces to create the sand, and the ocean using the new MAKING WAVES BORDER DIES. I used the subtle waves for the sand and the more obvious waves for the ocean.

To the sand, I inked up the edge and added some sand-like embossing powder. To the ocean waves, I added a blended edge using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink. I also added a light blend of Broken China to the sky which is also the Slimline card base.

I then built up the scene with foam tape to add dimension and glued all the stamped elements in place.

To finish off the scene, I drew in some birds in the background, added some white gel pen details, and added the sentiment in place.

Studio Katia June 2020 Release Blog Hop

Hello Friends and welcome to Studio Katia's June Release Blog Hop. You should have arrived from Isha Gupta and Dana Gong is your next stop. 

This release includes 6 New Clear Stamp Sets and 4 sets of Coordinating Dies, 6 New Stand Alone Creative Dies, 15 New Embellishments, and a Studio Katia FIRST 6X6 Paper Set! So let's get started with the cards I created for the hop.

I find masculine cards sometimes the most difficult to create and I always seem to have a shortage of them in my stash. The new SPORT-BALL TRIMMINGS stamp set is going to definitely help with that problem. Of course, this set could also be used for the sporty girl in your life.

CARD DETAILS

This first card features the RECTANGULAR DOTS COVER on the background. I then added one of the stamped images from the SPORT-BALL TRIMMINGS set that I colored with Copics and die-cut using the SPORT-BALL TRIMMINGS DIES.

The banner comes from the new SIMPLE TRIMMINGS Die set that I stamped with a birthday greeting from the new HAPPY CELEBRATIONS stamp set. I then added the word CHAMP that I die cut using the CHUNKY ALPHABET and added a black shadow layer to the letters by offsetting the die cuts.

To embellish the card I used some WINE BERRY PEARLS, added some white gel pen detailing, and glossy accents to areas.

As you can see this next card is very similar to the first one. This time I stamped one of the images on the cards base from the SPORT-BALL TRIMMINGS set. Next, I added the colored, die-cut version of the trimmings on the top half of the card that I glued onto a piece of black cardstock that was die cut using the inner from the DOTTED SLIMLINE - SET 2. I then just trimmed off the ends that hung over the card base.

The banner and the letters were done using the same products as my last card but using different colors.

I hope you were inspired by these sporty, masculine birthday cards. I think these would also make wonderful cards for father's day and thank you cards for coaches.
