Hello sweet friends and Happy Monday!

Today I have this fun slimline Honey Bunny Valentine shaker card to share with you. As you may have noticed, this card features a slimline window design. No, this is not a new Slimline frame from Honey Bee Stamps, but a DIY using some old and new dies which I will explain how to make later on.

CARD DETAILS

The first thing I did was stamp all the images from the HONEY BUNNIES stamp set. I then colored them in and die cut them using the coordinating HONEY BUNNIES DIES. I chose to use most of the images because I simply couldn't decide on one. So to fit all of this cuteness on a card I decided to go with a Slimline card.

To make the Slimeline shaker, I cut the frame using the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED dies. I then had the idea to turn this into a shaker for an added layer of interaction. So to do this I drew a very faint line down the center of the frame cut out. Next, I used one of the smaller DOUBLE STITCHED SQUARE DIES and lined the middle of the square with the line I had drawn, taped it down, and then ran it through the die-cutter to create the first window. I repeated the same process for both the other windows. It was easy to divide the space on each side visually so I didn't use any measurements.

To the backside of the window frame, I added a piece of acetate and then foam tape along the outer edge. Next, I cut a piece of red cardstock slightly smaller than the frame and added a mound of sequins to the center, and then closed them in with the window frame to complete the shaker area.

 

The shaker was then glued onto a pink piece of cardstock that had been cut to the size of the card base that measured 9x4 inches.

I then glued the images on to each window to tell this bunny's love story.

The sentiment was composed of both the HONEY Stamp set and the HONEY DIES. I stamped the sentiments onto black cardstock and then white heat embossed the letters. I then die cut the strips using the SENTIMENT BANNER DIES.

For more sparkle and shine I painted on a layer of liquid pixie dust to all the hearts and the wing of the cupid bunny.

Galantine Valentine's Day Card | Honey Bee Stamps Day 2 Love Letters Sneak Peeks

My Valentine's Day card today features the new WILL YOU BE MY Stamps, plus some older Honey Bee Stamps supplies. (Please note links will not be active until products go live on RELEASE DAY - Saturday 1/2 @ 11pm EST.)

CARD DETAILS

This card was actually super simple to make as it mostly involved die-cutting. I began by die cutting the background using the new QUILTED A2 COVER PLATE out of light pink cardstock. I then added the scalloped edge by using the largest SCALLOP A2 FRAME HONEY CUTS.

Next, I applied some Mambo Melon Glacier paste to the new heart stencil from the QUILTED HEARTS AND DOTS STENCILS, to add the little hearts to the quilted pattern.

I then die cut all the hearts using both the SCALLOP HEART DIES and the STACKING HEARTS DIES in a few sizes for the card front. To the largest heart, I stamped out the sentiment from the new WILL YOU BE MY set. To frame the design I used one of the rectangles from the A2 THIN DIES. 

As a finishing touch, I added the two gems from the HOT TROPICS GEM STICKERS to where the tittle of the "i" would be.

Stolen My Heart - Valentine Raccoon Spinner Card | Honey Bee Stamps Day 1 Sneak Peeks

My spinner card today features the new STOLEN MY HEART Stamps and Dies, plus a bunch more of Honey Bee Stamps supplies. (Please note links will not be active until products go live on RELEASE DAY - Saturday 1/2 @ 11pm EST.)

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I started with creating the opening on the top part of a square card base using a heart from the PIERCED XOXO HEART DIES. I then used the same heart die to cut the heart from a piece of pattern paper that came from the SPRING LULLABY PAPER PAD. To finish off the top layer I die cut the paper with the largest frame from the DOUBLE STITCHED SQUARE DIES.  I then set these pieces aside to work on the spinning raccoon.

On a piece of Neenah cardstock, I stamped out the image of the raccoon from the new STOLEN MY HEART stamp set and then colored it in using Copic markers and then die cut it using the coordinating STOLEN MY HEART DIES. Next, I die cut another blank shape of the raccoon image to create the backside of the raccoon.

I used a fine tip Micron pen to outline the image, I then drew in the tail to create the illusion of the raccoon's backside, and then colored it in. I then sandwiched a clear nylon thread in between the two die-cut pieces. 

To create the spinner, I then taped down the top thread to the top of the card base,  centering the raccoon in the center of the heart opening and then repeating the same thing with the bottom string. To secure the spinner in place and finish off the front I glued the pattern piece that I had done previously to the front panel.

To the inside, I used the same heart from the PIERCED XOXO HEART DIE, and added the pink heart to fit in the opening of the card. To the heart, I added some stenciled some glittery arrows using glimmer paste and CUPIDS ARROW STENCIL.

To finish off this spinner card, I added some clay hearts from the SWEETHEARTS CLAY HEARTS. I also used a red Copic marker to match the same color I used on the raccoon's heart and then topped the hearts off with some glossy accents.
