• Prepare the Base: Use the Rustic Brick Wall - 3D Embossing Folder to create a textured light pink background.
• Add Vines of Love: Die cut the Bold Background: Vines Of Love - Honey Cuts using green cardstock, and layer red floral hearts and petals. Use blending brushes for shadow details.
• Sentiment Focal Point: Die cut the "Love You" sentiment from the Great Greetings: Love - Honey Cuts and adhere it to the card front over the vines.
• Highlights: Use a white gel pen for highlights on the floral hearts.
• Finishing Touches: Add Gingerbread - Pearl Stickers to embellish the card.

"Lucky Pair" Valentine Card | Honey Bee Stamps

The Honey Bee Stamps "Perfect Match" release is packed with playful and romantic crafting possibilities! Today, I’m sharing a vibrant Valentine’s card featuring the "Lucky Pair" design. This card was made with products from the release, blending intricate die cuts, bold sentiments, and dazzling embellishments. It’s perfect for sending love to your lucky partner.

Creating the Base:

I began by layering the black scalloped frame from the Lace Heart Layering Frames set onto a white card base. This contrast makes the design pop.

Die Cutting Magic:

Using the Lovely Layers: Playing Cards, I cut the suits and card shapes in white, black, red, and gold cardstock. These were layered together to create dimensional and eye-catching playing card designs. I placed the crowned suits prominently for a regal, romantic touch. The Ace card face was a last-minute change as I had done the backside of it first, you can see it peeking from the side there which made it even more realistic to playing cards.

Sentiments and Details:

The "We're The" sentiment, stamped with the Bee Creative Ink Pad - Intense Black, sets the playful tone. I combined it with a die-cut "Lucky Pair" sentiment in red and black to make it stand out.

Embellishing:

A few Simply Spring Gem Stickers were scattered for subtle sparkle, while the Gelly Roll White Pen added highlights to the die cuts for a polished finish.

Final Touch:

Assembled all elements on the card with foam tape for dimension, making sure the playing cards cascade naturally across the card front.

Shared Techniques:

• Embossed Backgrounds: Both cards feature backgrounds created using the Aces - 3D Embossing Folder. A TIP to prevent tears in the paper is to lightly mist the cardstock with water before running it through your die-cut machine.
• Die-Cut Letters: The "good luck" sentiment was created using the BEE Playful Lowercase Alphabet Honey Cuts. TIP - For perfect letter alignment, use a straight edge or gridlines to align them, pick up the letters with low-tack tape, and adhere them by flipping the tape like a hinge to secure the letters in place.
• Vellum Layers: Both cards include vellum frames to soften the backgrounds and create dimension. I used two different frame die sets for added variety.

Card 1: Pink Ombre Letters

• Background: The embossed areas were enhanced by swiping a black ink pad across the raised portions for added depth.
• Sentiment: I die-cut the letters from white glitter cardstock and ink-blended a soft pink ombre effect onto them.
• Frame: The vellum background was die-cut using the Lovely Layers: Party Frame.
• Embellishments: The central heart was bedazzled with red gems from the Real Rainbow Gem Stickers pack, and a few extra gems were added around the card for sparkle.

Card 2: Black Glitter Letters

• Background: The embossed areas were highlighted by swiping a pink ink pad across the raised portions, giving the card a bold and dramatic look.
• Sentiment: The letters were cut from black glitter cardstock for a striking effect.
• Frame: The vellum layer was created using the Lovely Layers: Posted Frame.
• Embellishments: Red die-cut hearts from the Bold Background: Vines of Love Honey Cuts were added, with a few gems for a touch of shine.

Tips and Tricks

• Prevent Tearing: Always mist your cardstock lightly before embossing with a 3D folder.
• Perfect Letter Alignment: Use gridlines or a straight edge to align your letters, then use low-tack tape to lift and position them easily.
• Blending Gitter Cardstock: Ink blend on glitter cardstock to create custom colors to match, or create an ombre look.

Lucky to Have You: A Gambling-Themed Shaker Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Today, I am beyond excited to share a sneak peek of the Honey Bee Stamps Perfect Match Release, featuring this playful gambling-themed shaker card! This flat shaker design is a combination of vibrant colors, glittering gold, and clever techniques—perfect for showcasing the new Jackpot Layering Stencil and other fantastic products from this collection. Please note some links will not be active until the release goes live after the Live Release Party on Jan 15 on YouTube at 8 pm EST.

The background was created using the Jackpot Layering Stencil, an absolute showstopper! I blended the layers with InkOn3 inks and Honey Bee Blender Brushes to achieve a bright, casino-inspired look. The vivid pinks, reds, and greens bring out the charm of playing cards, poker chips, dice, and more. The stencil design sets the perfect tone for the card, radiating all the fun of a jackpot moment!

For the shake feature, I used the Honey Bee A2 Shaker Pockets, which are a game-changer for flat shaker cards. Here’s a helpful TIP to avoid the "pillow effect" caused by the natural spring of acetate: once you’ve glued the acetate flaps to the card panel, apply heat to the flaps to flatten them completely. This technique ensures the pocket stays flat and doesn’t puff up.

Before sealing the final flap of the shaker pocket, I added a generous amount of gold confetti, representing glittering gold coins—a nod to the casino theme. The flat shaker design makes it easy to mail, while still providing dynamic movement and sparkle.

The sentiment, "Lucky to Have You," was crafted using the Lucky to Have You sentiment die from the release. To give it dimension and shine, I:

1. Die-cut the sentiment once from black cardstock.

2. Coated the top layer with Bee Creative Clear Embossing Ink.

3. Added a couple of coats of clear embossing powder and heat set them for a glossy, professional finish.

The sentiment was adhered to a vellum shadow layer, adding a soft yet elegant touch that helps it stand out against the vibrant background.

To complete the design, I embellished the card front with poker chips and dice cutouts from the Lovely Layers: Roll the Dice set. For added detail, I used a white gel pen to draw highlights on the poker chips and dice before gluing them down. These small details bring the entire design to life and tie the gambling theme together seamlessly.

Spring-Inspired Valentine’s Window Balcony Scene Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends!

Looking for a unique way to craft a spring-inspired Valentine’s card? This see-through Window Balcony Scene card is perfect for spreading love and creativity. Using Honey Bee Stamps supplies, I created a detailed, dimensional card featuring a charming springtime balcony. Here’s how you can recreate this beautiful design! CARD RECIPE

1. Rustic Brick Wall Embossing Folder: For the soft pink embossed background.

   • Tip: Mist the paper lightly with water before embossing to prevent cracking.

2. Lovely Layers: Window Die Set: For the intricate window, balcony, and greenery.

   • Ink-blend the edges of the greenery with black ink to add depth and shadow.
   • Add pink ink blending to the center of the flowers and top them with pink pearls from the Gingerbread Pearl Sticker Set for a soft touch.

3. Lovely Layers: Pinecone Die Set: For the adorable 3D bow.

4. Heart Hugs Die Set: Add a sweet heart to the bow for a Valentine’s vibe.

5. Lovely Layers: April Showers: The charming bird brings life to the balcony scene.

6. Great Greetings: Everyday Die Set: For the bold “Hello” sentiment, tying the entire card together.

Make It See-Through

• To create the see-through window, die-cut both the top layer and the top of the card base simultaneously using the same die through the die-cut machine. This will ensure both layers are perfectly aligned. If the bottom layer doesn’t cut all the way through, the die’s impression will serve as a guide to easily align and cut it again. I didn't use this method initially because I hadn’t planned to make the window see-through. As a result, it took a little more time to carefully align the top layer with the card base opening.

I love how cute this card turned out. The combination of soft pinks, lush greenery, and intricate details makes this card perfect for spring and Valentine’s Day!

1. Creating the Bokeh Background

To start, I created a stencil template using the Sweet Stacks: Circles - Honey Cuts. With my template in place, I blended white and silver pigment inks onto a dark cardstock background using my Blender Brushes. This created a soft and glowing bokeh light effect that adds depth and magic.

2. Die Cutting the Frame and Focal Elements

I then die cut the elegant scalloped frame using the Lovely Layouts: Party Frames - Honey Cuts. For the centerpiece, I die cut the Vintage Reindeer in layers and pieced it together, bringing this cute character to life.

I added festive greenery using the Mini Holiday Florals dies, which I enhanced with Prisma Glitter for an icy sparkle.

3. Assembling the Sentiments

For the “Happy” sentiment and the year “2025,” I used Great Greetings: Holiday and Bee Narrow Uppercase Alpha dies. To add dimension, I die cut two additional black layers for each element, stacked them together, and adhered them to the card. This extra layering really makes the sentiments pop!

4. Finishing Touches

For sparkle and shine: 

I brushed glue onto the fern-like greenery and sprinkled it with Prisma Glitter.

I added Cool Pearl Stickers for a touch of dimension and elegance.

To complete the reindeer’s adorable look, I added Glossy Accents to the nose and eye for a shiny finish.

• Great Greetings: Holiday Honey Cuts: Die-cut festive sentiments.
• Sprinkled With Joy Stamp Set: For cheerful inside sentiments.
• Horizon Slimline Borders - Honey Cuts: Used to create the snowy hills on the shaker fronts.
• Bee Creative A2 Shaker Pockets: Essential for the shaker base.
• Gingerbread Pearl Stickers: To add fun embellishments.

Shaker Fillings:

• Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix
• Candyland Clay Pieces (sprinkles)
• Peppermint Ice Clay Pieces (sprinkles)
• Pastel Confetti/Sequins (from stash)

Additional Supplies:

• Chunky Glitter: For snow-covered details.

Background Details:

• Cardstock Panels: Cut pink, blue, and white cardstock slightly smaller than A2 size for the inside panels. Splatter them with white ink for a snowy effect.

Shaker Pocket Hacks

1. Flattening the Shaker Pocket:
   To eliminate the "pillow effect" caused by the acetate's natural spring, using a heat gun apply gentle heat to the glued tabs once attached to the paper. This resets the plastic's memory, leaving your shaker cards flat and polished.

2. Keep It Clean:
   Leave the protective film on the shaker pocket until you're ready to glue it to the card base. This prevents scratches and ensures a pristine finish!

3. Use flat fillers for smoother movement inside the shaker. The flatter the bits, the more fluid the movement!

Create the Shaker:

For the inside of each shaker, I cut pink, blue, and white cardstock panels slightly smaller than A2 size. Splatter with white pigment ink for a snowy backdrop. Place these panels inside the Bee Creative A2 Shaker Pockets, and seal 3/4 sides. Fill each shaker pocket with shaker bits like Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix, Candyland Clay Pieces, Peppermint Ice Clay Pieces, and sequins for maximum movement. Seal the pocket and apply heat to the tabs for a flat, sleek look if you do not like the natural forming pillow effect.

Create the Gingerbread Scene:
Use the Lovely Layers: Alice's Gingerbread Lane Honey Cuts to die-cut the gingerbread houses. Add chunky glitter to mimic snow, and use Copic markers for shading and depth.

Assemble the Scene:
Use the Horizon Slimline Borders Honey Cuts to die-cut snowy hills, and adhere these along with the houses and die-cut sentiments directly onto the front of the shaker pocket.

Add Final Touches:
Embellish the gingerbread houses with Gingerbread Pearl Stickers and sprinkles.

Finish the Inside Sentiments:
Stamp cheerful holiday sentiments from the Sprinkled With Joy Stamp Set using a blue ink pad. These coordinate beautifully with the pastel tones of the cards.

These cards are a pastel winter wonderland packed with sparkle and charm! With these tips and tricks, you're ready to create your own magical shaker cards that will delight your loved ones this holiday season.
