I'm back today with a no line watercoloring project featuring the Lovely Blooms from the latest Studio Katia Release.
I loved how the coloring of these flowers turned out so I just had to frame it! Difficult to see from these photos, but the gentle shimmer is so pretty in real life.
I began by stamping the Lovely Blooms onto watercolor paper using fadeout ink. I then took the time to watercolor these blooms using some Shimmery Watercolor crayons that I had picked up from Michael's so long ago and hadn't used them, so it was about time. To turn the crayons into watercolors, I rubbed the crayon onto a watercolor dish, added a drop of water and mixed the pigment with the brush until I was happy with color and consistency of the watercolor.
I'm not going to lie, this watercoloring was a bit time consuming but I really did enjoy the process as I learn a little more each time and I find it very relaxing. Plus, I have been participating in Kathy Racoosins #thedailymarker30day challenge and this piece, of course, is one of my challenge pieces. I guess you only get better if you keep practicing and for me, I still trying to learn how to use all the different media I have 😉
Other than adding highlights with a white gelly roller pen and some glossy accents to a few of the flowers, that was it for this project. Sometimes less is more. Of course, this could easily still be turned into a card in the future.
Thank you all for joining me today, I hope this Framed No line Watercoloring of the Lovely Blooms with Watercolor Crayons was inspiring for you.
Until next time... Happy Crafting 👋

Today I'm sharing another card for Mom today. Yes, another one... and yes I only have one mom, but it's always nice to have Mom cards on hand because not only are they perfect for Mother's Day they are also great for other occasions (A just because card, or even a birthday card too, plus you can give them away to anyone who is Mom).
So for this card, I wanted to play a little more with the Fadeout Ink from Ink On 3 as I love the no line watercolor look and still need tons of practice. So for practice, I played with the new Pansies set creating this beautiful floral background. Overall I am super happy with the results. Yes, it isn't perfect but that's OK because I keep learning from each experience and that's what is important to me plus I had fun doing it. This ink makes the no line coloring process so easy. Honestly you drop the color next to the stamped lines and the pigment gets absorbed, making it super easy to see where you stamped. That is the magical part about this ink.
To create this card I had to do quite a bit of masking along the card panel. Once I was happy with the stamped image I began coloring it in with a variety of distress inks (see colors listed below in supply links). First I laid down a light layer of color to define my stamped images and then went back adding more color and depth to each pansy. Once my coloring was done, I die cut the panel with the pierced rectangle and mounted it on to the card base. I then stamped out the sentiment using Blackout ink and added a few more flowers to frame the sentiment that I had cut out with the coordinating dies.
To finish the card I added some detail lines to the center of each Pansy using a burnt ochre Prismacolor pencil. To each flower, I also added a bit of white with a gelly roller and topped it off with a small drop of Dandelion yellow Tonic drops. For some shine, I added a few scattered iridescent bubbles.
Hope you were inspired by this no line colored card for Mom. For more inspiration using the Fadeout ink or the Pansies Stamp set, visit the Ink On 3!

I can't believe it's the first day of March already, before you know it Easter will be here! So I thought I would begin the Month with a quick Easter Card 🐣
For this card, I experimented with the new Fadeout ink from InkOn3.
This ink truly has magical properties as the stamped lines take on the color that you apply next to them. Making No line coloring super simple and fun!
Here are a few tips that I found helpful when using the Fadeout ink.
Make sure your stamp is squeaky clean (any ink residue from the stamp will transfer that color to the image being stamped).
Less is more. Avoid using too much water. If you do, the water may bleed out the stamped line creating a thicker blurred line.
I also used the new Blackout Ink on the inside of the card. I love this ink! It dries almost instantly which allows you to begin coloring right away, plus it doesn't stain your clear stamps!
You can watch this card come together in today's Video.
