Rainbow Gladiolus Bouquet Card | Studio Katia | New Release

Hello friends and Happy Sunday!

Today Studio Katia is introducing their latest member to their Mini Slimline Collection. This month it is this beautiful Gladiolus Stamp and Coordinating Die.

Realistically coloring my Gladiolus in rainbow colors doesn't make any sense, but hey I am applying artistic freedom here 😉 Make sure to click the link to the Studio Katia Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team and enter the release giveaway.

CARD RECIPE

Making this card was pretty simple, the hardest part was masking, and even with that it was fairly easy!

• Start by stamping the Gladiolus Stamp in the center of the panel using Copic-friendly ink.
• Using the coordinating Die, die-cut masking paper. You could also fussy cut the stamped image but this is the lazy way for those that don't like fussy cutting like me!
• Shift the edge of the masking paper to line up with the stamped image. If you see the stamped line that is perfect as it will overlap the next stamped image connecting the previous stamped lines.
• Reposition the stamp and repeat stamping the Gladious Stamp to each side of the first stamped image. Reposition the masking before stamping a new area.
• Remove masking.
• Draw in lines if any weren't connected using a Copic-friendly pen, I also extended the stems.
• Color in the Gladiolus using Copic Markers.

• Add the die-cut frame from the Darling Ribbons and Frames to frame the colored panel.
• Using white pigment ink, stamp and heat emboss the sentiment from the Gladioulus Stamp set.
• Die cut the sentiment using a Die from the Peony Trimmings Set, and add foam to pop it up, trim any excess.

• Finish by gluing on some coordinating colored pearls. These came from the Satin Pearls Mix.
• For extra highlights and details use a white gel pen.

I Love You Beary Much Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends and happy Monday!

I am back again today with the cutest little I love you beary much card, featuring some goodies from the latest Happy Hearts Release from Honey Bee Stamps.

CARD RECIPE

• This cute bear comes from the Heart Hugs Dies. I pieced him together and then added details using Copic Markers, a white gel pen, and added a little smile with a fine-tip black pen. I then gave him a heart to hold that I die cut 3 times and glued together, stamped with the "I" from the Love Love Love Stamps.
• For the background, I used the Damask A2 Cover Plate to add the embossing details and then used the Scallop A2 Frame Dies to create the frame. I then ink-blended the bottom half of the panel to create an ombre gradient.

• Next, I used the leftover die cuts from a previous card I made using the Love A2 Cover Plate. I then die-cut another layer using red cardstock and added it to the top of the stacked letters.
• For the "you" sentiment, I used the Foil Script: Love HFP and Dies that I foiled using Red Glimmer Foil with the Hot Foil System.

I hope these steps were simple to follow as this was a simple card to put together. Nevertheless way too cute!

Love is in the Air Valentines Day Card | Studio Katia

Hello, my sweet friends!

Are you feeling the valentine's crafty itch yet? I am starting to get there. The more and more I see of Valentines online the more I feel it's OK to move on from the Holiday mode.

Today's cute card features mostly new goodies from Studio Katia's latest Valentine's release.

Since this card is pretty self-explanatory, I won't bore you with all the steps. (Plus, I am trying to limit my screen time on the computer to decrease stress on my eye right now.
