Superheros Wear Scrubs Thank You Cards and DIY Nurse Key Chains | Erin Lee Creative

Happy Friday my friends!

Here in Edmonton, we are starting phase 2 of the COVID Relaunch. Personally, I think it may be too soon and I fear that the numbers of cases will start to spike. I hope I'm wrong. Thankfully our city has had really low numbers, but that could change really fast.

Anyways, the point of this post today is to share some fabulous cards that I made for my colleagues at work featuring the Superhero Scrubs Stamp Set from Erin Lee Creative. Erin kindly sent me this set when she found out I was a nurse and I now want to thank all the awesome Oncology Nurses I work with as they really are superheroes!

CARD DETAILS

As mentioned above I used the Superhero Scrubs Stamp Set to stamp out all the images using Blackout Ink and then colored them in using Copic markers. For the images that are popped up I fussy cut them out. Each card was done the same way using different sentiments and designs. I then just finished them with some Iridescent Crystals from Studio Katia. The scallop frame I used comes from Honey Bee Stamps.

I also created 3 keychains to go along with each card. To create the key chain I stamped the image onto shrink plastic and then colored the opposite side that was stamped using Copic markers. I then punched a hole above the image and then fussy cut the plastic and used my heat gun to Shrink it. I will have a video on Instagram to show you how that was done.

Thank You Glimmer Foiled Cards | Spellbinders May 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month

Hey Everyone 👋

On today's blog post, I will be sharing 3 thank you cards created using the Spellbinders May 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month - Thanks a Million set.

CARD DETAILS

Two of the cards I created were done very similarly but using different color palettes. This first one was done in pinks and greens using a SILVER Glimmer Foil.

I also Foiled the thanks to the right side of the card.

As you can see on this next blue and pink combo card, the Foiled thanks is centered and done in SKYBRIGHT Glimmer Foil. 

For added touches of sparkle, I added some coordinating crystals.

On this simple and final card, I chose to just do a foiled sentiment from the Thanks A Million Set and add it to a banner from the BOOKLET BINDING DIES set. 

I also only used the flowers from the set, this time done in yellow and pink and foiled using COPPER Glimmer Foil.

Love how these Thank You Cards turned out. I hope you got some inspiration from these Thank You Glimmer Foiled Cards. I think these would make some great Mother's Day Cards!

Floral Cross Religious Thank You Cards

Hello friends.

Wow, I have been one crazy Momma lately! My daughter celebrated her Confirmation this past Sunday and it just so happened to fall on the same day my son turned 14 years old. So I did what any other crazy crafty mom does and went overboard with the all the crafts, making all the DIY decorations and party details. From the cake table, cake toppers, sugar cookies, flower arrangements, guest keepsakes, and Thank you cards, yup did it all... yah, a bit nuts I admit... That's just me! The only thing I didn't do this time was make the cakes. I think I would have died if I had to do those too as they are so time consuming and I knew I wasn't going to have the time. I also asked my lovely and very talented sister in law to make me some cake pops as they are my daughter's favorite. If you have been following on Social Media, I have already shared some pictures of most of the decor but I will share some also here at the end of the post.

Today I want to focus on a few of the cards I made for some of the other important people that shared the day with us. The Confirmation Sacrament occurs when the child reaches adolescence and seals their own faith to complete what began with during the child's Baptism. As part of this day the child chooses a Sponsor, who then we refer to as a Godparent.  To thank the Godmother and the Catechists that prepared my daughter for the special day I created these very simple Thank You cards.

The Floral Cross stamp I used for the card comes from Studio Katia. You may have have seen me use it recently on an Easter Card - here. Love that this stamp is so versatile!

Since I was creating multiples I used a stamping platform to stamp out each panel. I then used Silver embossing powder and heat set it. Ran each panel through the sizzix die cutting machine using MFT's Scalloped rectangles. Then layered the card front onto a piece of  silver glitter vinyl that I had adhered onto the card base. The Thanks die comes from a Hero Arts set. See links below for all supplies used.

To stamp out the word Godmother took some creativity. I used letters from the Best Ever stamp set to put  the word together. I began with the "other" from brother, masking off the "br" then adding embossing powder and setting it. I then worked my way backward through the entire word masking off and stamping the remainder of the letters I need to use. I did use a positioner, and as you can see it's not perfectly positioned but I had no time to waste to re do it, but after all it is handmade 😏

On the inside of the cards I stamped out this message from the Honey Bee Stamps Bless Your Heart set.
