You're Sew Special Crafty Friendship Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my crafty friends! 

I think most of you will all enjoy this cute stitched card especially if you love to sew. Besides coloring and drawing as a child, sewing would have been the first crafty thing I got into. I was about 10 years old, on vacation in Portugal and my Grandmother taught me how to sew on her old antique Singer sewing machine. My first project was an apron with large pockets on the front. The stitching was terrible and the apron was white (talk about the terrible choice of color for an apron, lol). I didn't care, I was just obsessed with all the stuff my Grandmother could carry in her apron pockets and just had to have my own! 

Anyways, let's get on with details for today's card featuring products from Honey Bee Stamps.

CARD RECIPE

• Start by stitching various colors of thread across an A2 card panel using a sewing machine, or any tool that will stitch through paper.
• Stamp out any images that relate to sewing. Using INTENSE BLACK INK and stamps from the LET'S GET CRAFTY and the SEW SPECIAL Sets.
• Color in using Copic markers or desired medium.
• Die-cut using coordinating dies from the LET'S GET CRAFTY and the SEW SPECIAL Die Sets.
• Add foam to the back of each image.

• Stamp out the sentiment from the SEW SPECIAL Set using white ink and heat setting it with embossing powder on black cardstock.
• Die-cut with coordinating SEW SPECIAL Die. 
• Pop the sentiment in the center of the stitched card panel and then add the sewing-themed elements all around the card front.
• Use Glossy Accents to add shine and dimension to images.

Rainbow Pineapple Slimline Cards | Scrapbook.com

Hello friends and Happy FriYAY! I hope you all are hibernating in your air-conditioned craft rooms these days. We are setting record temperatures here in Edmonton. It has gone up to 38°C/100°F! That is just crazy... and some say there is no such thing as global warming🤔 Thankfully we have air conditioning!

Today's post is part of a collaboration I am doing with Scrapbook.com. They sent me some of their latest summer products to play with and I just had a blast! If you shop Scrapbook.com you may want to check out their 👉COUPON section as they have a ton of deals happening right now! 

CARD RECIPE

 Let's take a look at how this first bright and colorful slimline came together.

• Die-cut a paper of each color from the Brights Slimline Paper Pad using the Slimline-Nested Rectangles Dies.
• Using a trimmer cut the tops off the frames to create various sizes of rainbow strips.
• Glue each strip in rainbow order onto a Slimline Card front.
• Trim excess pieces that hang over the edge.

• Place the Pineapples Stencil over the bright card stock piece and apply glimmer paste to the pineapple design. You will need to move the stencil to get complete surface coverage of the slimline. Allow for drying time.
• Die-cut a white frame using the Slimline-Nested Rectangles Dies and glue it to the background.
• For the sentiment, I die-cut and stacked the letters using the Tall Skinny Alphabet-Upper and Lower Dies. Two white layers and a top black layer. 
• Space the letters evenly and glue them to the card front. 
• Finish off by adding a small embellishment detail with the Soft Lilac Pearl Pops of Color.
• Glue to card base.

For this next card, I thought it would be fun to create an Eclipse birthday card. 

• Begin by ink blending out the colors to create a rainbow using the Pineapples Stencil on a Slimline Card front.
• Start with the Lantern Light Yellow 1 Ink, when you blend the other 2 colors over it it will create a rainbow gradient.

• Arrange the Tall Skinny Alphabet-Upper Dies evenly spaced on the card panel to die cut "WEAR A CROWN". Use masking tape to secure them down on the panel and run it through the die-cut machine. Repeat with letters that are doubled and ensure you allow enough space. Save the die-cut letters and the negative cuts to create the eclipse effect.
• To pop up the letters, die-cut 2 more layers for each letter. Stack and glue them together finishing the top layer with the colored pieces.
• Glue card panel to the slimline card base.
• Glue the letters back into the corresponding cuts.
• For added shimmer and shine, I added some glimmer to the top of the letters by using a glue pen and then sprinkling on the glitter. 

• To finish off the sentiment, I stamped out the It's your day in black ink, centered above the letters.

Let's Pawty Birthday Card | Honey Bee Stamps Day 3 Summer Stems Sneak Peek

You're So EGGstra Easter Bunny Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Do you have an Extra/Eggstra friend or person in your life? You know the over the top and a little dramatic one. I have a few and this card was made with them in mind, LOL! 

I think a card like this would absolutely make their day this Easter.

 

CARD RECIPE

• Stamp out the Bunny, Chick, and flower images from the new EASTER BUDDIES set. (Blackout ink used on Neenah cardstock)
• Color images using Copic markers.
• Die-cut images using coordinating EASTER BUDDIES DIES.

• Die-cut the house and the hay pieces for the CHICKEN COOP in the desired color of cardstock. 
• Add details using Copic markers.
• Using the smallest pieces from the WOOD FRAME BUILDER DIES, glue pieces onto the roofline of the chicken coop. Ink edges first.
• Die-cut the ITTY BITTY EGG DIES (I used silver glitter cardstock and then added color using Copic markers.)

• Die-cut the largest frame from the DOUBLE STITCHED SQUARE DIES.
• Use the GRASSY HILLS BORDER STENCILS to blend out the grass and the OUTDOOR SCENE BUILDER STENCILS to blend out the clouds.
• Assemble and glue down all the elements to create the scene onto the background panel. 
• Glue panel onto the pattern paper from the PLAYFUL PASTELS PAPER PAD cut to 5.5x5.5 inches.
• Attach onto a Square 5.5x5.5 inch Card Base.  
• Stamp and heat emboss onto black card cardstock the You're so Eggstra sentiment from the EGGCELENT SENTIMENTS. Die-cut with coordinating Die. 
• Add sentiment to the card front.
• Embellish with PLAYFUL PASTELS GEM STICKERS, white gel detail, glossy accents, and liquid pixie dust.

• Finish the inside of the card with an Easter sentiment that comes from the HOPPY EASTER stamp set.
• Send the card to your very Eggstra friend!
