Jawesome DIY Aquarium Card Ft. Lawn Fawn's Duh-Nuh Stamp Set

Today I have a really fun DIY kinda card to share with you all. I wanted to create an aquarium for my little under water scene featuring Lawn Fawn's Duh-Nuh Stamp Set. This was not the first time I had made and paper aquarium. Check out one of my favorite 3D paper projects and where I got some inspiration for this card → HERE.

I used distress oxide inks to blend out and create the background water. The images were colored using Zig Clean Color Brushes, once they were colored I then used the SnC2 to cut them out. For a complete supply list check out the links below this blog post.

I used the Year Seven Stamp set to customize my sentiment on the back.

As you can see this card will fold flat but not easily. The acetate I used was very thick so it tends to pop back into place. To give it to the recipient you could either use some twine to squeeze the card together, or simply just use a larger envelope or box and just let the card pop open. I wouldn't recommend you put a card like this through the mail as it probably will get damaged.  Using a thinner acetate may give you different results.

Fintastic Birthday Shaker Card

Hello!

I'm back again today with another fun "Fintastic Birthday" shaker card. I made this card for my little Godson Cristiano who turns 3 this year!

How cute is this little fishy stamp? 

The stamp set I used comes from Your Next Stamp - Snorkel Fun Fishy

And how cool are those bubbles!?!

To create the fish bowl I used a circle die. When making an incomplete cut of any die, place your die over the edge of the cutting plates so that there is no pressure on the area. Then I cut a straight edge across the top of the circle using a blade and ruler. 

I used my Spectrum Noir Markers (BT7, BT8, CT3, CG3, DR5, DR7) to colour this little guy in and added some Glossy Accents to the goggles.

For the background I blended some distress inks (peacock feathers) and spritzed it with some water to create the blotchy appearance.

For the sequin shaker mix I used clear sparkly sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and some Recollections Chunky Glitter.

To finish the inside of the card I did a little bit of watercolor smooshing over the sentiment and used the wonky stitched die from MTF.


For stamping I used memento Tuxedo Black Ink.


The patterned Paper came from American Crafts Shoreline Paper stack.
