WOW! Embossing Powder and Studio Katia Collaboration Blog Hop

CARD DETAILS:

For my card today I chose to use the gorgeous Blooming Bunch floral stamp set. I began by stamping out the image onto watercolor paper and then colored the blooms in using Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. Once the paper was dry I fussy cut the image out. 

The next thing I did is going to sound a bit crazy... but since I wanted to use WOW! Embossing Glitters today and didn't realize I needed a bonding powder (can you tell I'm still a newbie at this), so I had to figure out a different way to do things. Leave it to me to make things harder! Anyways, my solution was to use a quicky glue pen and trace over the lines of each image that I wanted to add a specific color too. This made it easier to control exactly where I wanted the specific colors of glitter to go. Then I would use my heat gun to melt the glitter and set the glue, which I know your not supposed to do with glitter but it turned out beautifully resulting in a rough glittered texture! 

For the leaves I used Green Glitz, on the orange peony I used Sunset Boulevard, for the roses I used Red Glitz,  and for the yellow peony, I used the Pearl Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter.

I then popped this beautiful Blooming Bunch onto a panel I had die cut using the frame from the Dotted Patterns Set 3 Die set and then stenciled on the dots using the Bubbles Stencil. To the bottom right corner, I stamped out the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Birthday Greetings set and then added the hello which was heat embossed in Metallic Gold Rich SF Embossing powder. And that pretty much finishes off this sparkly card!

Honey Bee Stamps - Wow Blog Hop

Hello Crafting Friends, and welcome to a very special Blog Hop collaboration with the WOW! Embossing Powder & Honeybee Stamps. The best part of having a blog hop is meeting, sharing and inspiring one another in this beautiful crafting community. We feel so blessed to have our path’s cross with each other and we all hope this collaboration inspires everyone. 

For those that don't know me... I'm Ilda 👋 and if you have been hopping along, you should have come from the lovely Galina's Blog. If you got lost along the way, head back over to the Honeybee Stamps / WOW! Embossing Powder blog for the complete list of designers joining in the hop or you can refer to the Hop list at the end of this post.

For my card today I have a created a floral friendship circle shaped card. 

To create this, I started by cutting out my card base using the Donut Card Die. I then die cut the largest circle from the Stitched Scallop Circle Dies and adhered it to the top of the card front. I then used the circle die cut from the Donut die set and glued that on top to finish off the card panel.

Next, I began to work on the details of the card. I started by stamping out the Spring Blossoms and heat setting them with the Ebony WOW! Super Fine Embossing Powder. I then used Zig Clean Clear Brush Pens to watercolor in the flowers and used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. For a bit of a "WOW" factor, I die cut the branch from the Branch and Leaves Die and used the same Ebony powder to coat the entire surface of the branch. I heat set two coats of embossing powder on the top of the branch and one underneath. Once I was happy with the finish of the branch I snipped it in a few spots and placed it behind the cluster of flowers that I had popped up onto the card. 

For the sentiments, I used a white pigment ink and heat set the letters with the WOW! Super Fine  Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder on some black cardstock. These fun sentiments come from the Love Bug stamp set.
