Love You Valentine's Day Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my crafty friends, and Happy New Year!

I am starting off the year by spreading some much-needed love with this Valentine's Love You Card featuring some staples from Honey Bee Stamps.

CARD RECIPE

Here is the breakdown of the card, so I won't go into too much explanation as it is pretty straightforward. I will share a Reel of it coming together on Instagram for those of you who like visuals.

Valentine's Day Rainbow Heart Cards | Studio Katia

Happy Friday Friends. I hope you have had a safe and wonderful week.

Today's cards are once again rainbow inspired. As you all must know by now, I love rainbows and today's Valentine Day cards reflect that. I must however apologize as I did not realize that the SCALLOP HEARTS COVER and the LOOPS: CREATIVE DIES are SOLD OUT! So if you already own them then hopefully this will inspire you today and if you don't I'm sure you could achieve similar results with some creativity. 

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I die cut the SCALLOP HEARTS COVER twice in order to make two cards and just set the extra pieces aside. I then removed the hearts and heart frames from the openings. Next, I used a variety of Atelier inks to blend out each heart. I then separated the hearts from the outer heart frames. 

To each heart, I then painted on a little layer of  STUDIO KATIA GLUE and then dipped the heart into  CHUNKY SPARKLE GLITTER. I then glued the hearts from the other card I had cut out back into the heart spaces and then stacked the glittery colored hearts in rainbow order back onto the card front. 

The sentiments come from the HAPPY CELEBRATIONS set that was stamped on black cardstock and heat embossed in white. I then stuck foam under the sentiment strip and added it to the card panel that I then glued onto the card base.

For this next card when I die cut the SCALLOP HEARTS COVER panel, I removed the scalloped frame for a different look. I then glued on the thin dotted frame from the LOOPS: CREATIVE DIES.

I had previously removed the hearts from this panel to use on my previous card. To the back of the panel, I then glued on a piece of acetate, added a foam border along the outer edge, and glued it onto the card base that was filled with some SPARKLING HEARTS CONF. GLITTER. 

To finish off the card front, I then added the heart frames to each window in rainbow order. The sentiment stamp I used comes from the GIFT TAG GREETINGS: VALENTINES set that was also stamped on black and heat embossed in white. The piece was then trimmed and foam mounted on top of one of the hearts.

The last thing I did was add some pearls for an extra pop of color. I hope these Valentine's Day Rainbow Heart Cards inspired you today. These both could be used for any occasion simply by changing out the greeting.

Honey Bunny Valentine Slimline Shaker Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello sweet friends and Happy Monday!

Today I have this fun slimline Honey Bunny Valentine shaker card to share with you. As you may have noticed, this card features a slimline window design. No, this is not a new Slimline frame from Honey Bee Stamps, but a DIY using some old and new dies which I will explain how to make later on.

CARD DETAILS

The first thing I did was stamp all the images from the HONEY BUNNIES stamp set. I then colored them in and die cut them using the coordinating HONEY BUNNIES DIES. I chose to use most of the images because I simply couldn't decide on one. So to fit all of this cuteness on a card I decided to go with a Slimline card.

To make the Slimeline shaker, I cut the frame using the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED dies. I then had the idea to turn this into a shaker for an added layer of interaction. So to do this I drew a very faint line down the center of the frame cut out. Next, I used one of the smaller DOUBLE STITCHED SQUARE DIES and lined the middle of the square with the line I had drawn, taped it down, and then ran it through the die-cutter to create the first window. I repeated the same process for both the other windows. It was easy to divide the space on each side visually so I didn't use any measurements.

To the backside of the window frame, I added a piece of acetate and then foam tape along the outer edge. Next, I cut a piece of red cardstock slightly smaller than the frame and added a mound of sequins to the center, and then closed them in with the window frame to complete the shaker area.

 

The shaker was then glued onto a pink piece of cardstock that had been cut to the size of the card base that measured 9x4 inches.

I then glued the images on to each window to tell this bunny's love story.

The sentiment was composed of both the HONEY Stamp set and the HONEY DIES. I stamped the sentiments onto black cardstock and then white heat embossed the letters. I then die cut the strips using the SENTIMENT BANNER DIES.

For more sparkle and shine I painted on a layer of liquid pixie dust to all the hearts and the wing of the cupid bunny.
