Vintage Holiday Release Day 2 Sneak Peeks | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello and welcome back to Day 2 of the Vintage Holiday Release for Honey Bee Stamps.

My card today features the gorgeous new Lovely Layers: Anemone Dies. This is a larger card (A7), simply because I wanted to use all of these flowers together. They would have fit onto an A2 card base but it would have been too small for the sentiment I wanted to use.

Here is a breakdown of what I used to make this pretty wintery card.

• Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink

• Gemini Junior SSS | SBC

Adhesives:

• Bee Creative Glue

Embellishments:

• Bubble Bath Mini Domes

Once my Anemone flowers were all die-cut and assembled, I then just had to figure out the background design. I  used the ★Crystal Kaleidoscope Stencil to apply this silver paste to the Scallop A7 Card Frame layer. 

To make these centers pop, I used foam tape in between each layer and added glue to the outside edge of the center layers which were then dipped in sparkle glitter. Before attaching the centers to the flowers, I drew some black lines on the base of the petals. To the end of the lines, I added the cutest little domes to make it look like Stamen. 

Here's a close-up. Check out the dimension. Also, it is difficult to see from the photos but I did blend Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink to the white centers of the flowers to give some extra depth and dimension.

Vintage Holiday Release Day 1 Sneak Peeks | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my friends, and Happy Monday!

It's time again for another Honey Bee Stamps Release, and today the Design Team is showcasing Day 1 Sneak Peeks for their Vintage Holiday Release.

This Snowman Winter Shaker Shadow Box is jam-packed with all-new goodies. Can you spot all the new stamps and dies? Don't worry I give you the complete recipe for this card down below. What I am really excited about is the A2 Scene Builder Card Base Dies. The possibilities are endless for shadow box creations with these Dies.

For an added layer of fun, I thought it would be cool to add a shaker element to this winter scene. To create that I simply created a shaker pocket using a cello bag that I filled with some Bokeh Lights Confetti. I sealed the edges of the pocket with a thin double-sided tape and then secured it behind the front window opening of the card base.

The coolest thing about these shadow boxes is that they fold flat and fit perfectly inside an A2 Envelope. This card when flat has a little bulge in it because I can't help myself and add way too many elements but I am still able to seal the envelope without any problems.

Also, check out the snowflakes I used in the background aren't they gorgeous! I love them!!! They were made with the ★Pierced Fancy Flakes A2 Cover Plate Die and the ★Fancy Flakes A2 Cover Plate Die that I trimmed down to create the background.

And how sweet is the little snowman? You guys are going to love the ★Build A Snowman Dies. There are so many different ways you can dress him up. I see a lot of snowmen in my future, lol!

Simon Says Stamp | STAMPtember | Spiritual Sentiments

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

Today's event kicks off the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember month long celebration! You are going to love the new SSS exclusive products showcased today throughout the participating blogs and also throughout the month as Simon shares collaborations with all your favorite companies!

My card today focuses on the newly released Spiritual Sentiments Stamp set. The stamps on this set are so versatile and uplifting, they could be used for so many reasons. Great sentiments stamps to have for those sometimes difficult encouragement cards.

Here is how I made this card:

• I began by stamping out the foliage stamps from the Spiritual Sentiment set using a green palette of distress oxide inks onto Bristol paper. The larger branches were stamped using two inks, thus creating an ombre ink effect. 
• Once the background was all stamped out, I then used a damp detail paint brush to color in the leaves by pulling the color from the stamped edges.
• While the back panel was drying, I worked on the card greeting. I first die cut the smallest stitched rectangle and then stamped out the greeting using Forrest Moss Oxide Ink and a stamping tool.  I also used the little hearts and stamped them out using Fired Brick oxide ink. 
• Since oxide inks take a while to dry, I sprinkled a clear embossing powder on the greeting and heat set it.  
• I then glued the sentiment panel to a silver glittered piece of cardstock and trimmed it, leaving a very small border all around the rectangle.
• Next, I ran the leafy panel through the die cutter using the largest stitched rectangle die, and glued that piece onto an A2 card base, using foam tape to pop it up.
• I then added the greeting to the leafy panel, again popping it up with foam tape.

To the inside, I stamped these beautiful words.
