Cristiano's Baptism Cake | DIY Cakes

Yesterday my husband I had the honor of becoming God Parents to the cutest little guy! May God Bless Cristiano and his Family!

Of course I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to make a cake for this special occasion. It's a little different but I'm happy with the results ;)

The entire cake was frosted with vanilla buttercream icing and covered with fondant.

I'm so used to creating round cakes that this square cake was a little challenging for me, guess I just need more practice with them, lol!

Beary Sweet Train Baptism Cake | DIY Cakes

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend Everyone! Well at least to all my Canadian friends :)
Today I have a Baptism Cake to share with you all! I was asked if I could make a cake for a Baptism this weekend. Funny how people think I'm a baker or something now, LOL! Of course as usual I said yes, hopefully, they will be happy with the results. I was sent a photo of some inspiration... Two bears, cross, blanket, and especially the train were musts. The photo I found came from Kimberly, an amazingly talented cake artist! I do have to give her credit, thank you, Kimberly, from Kimberly Dawn Cakes for the inspiration, love your work!

Look at that "Bear" Bum! Isn't it a CUTIE! You could almost bite it... well technically you could, haha!

Well what do you think? Two bears, cross, blanket, train, and I even threw in a rosary!
I really love how it came together :)

Teddy Bear Baptism Cake

Today is a very special day for our little friend Alessio, it's his Baptism today! His mom, one of my very best friends (whom I've known since grade 5), Lee Ann had asked me if I would make him a cake for the celebration... and of course I accepted the challenge... Hope she likes it! 😊

Teddy Bear Baptism Cake

I actually had no plan of what I was going to make other than the colors I was going to use... So I'm pretty happy about how it all turned out! Isn't Teddy cute? I just love how he turned out :)

The top layer of the cake is chocolate, the bottom is marble. Both covered with a vanilla buttercream icing and finished with sky blue fondant. Yummy, can't wait to taste it!

God Bless you and your family Allessio on this Special Day!
